I decided to give some of you the play by play.

Shane won the first rack off of Albin's break when Albin rattled a tough 2 that only had 3/4 of a pocket to get up 1-0.

Shane had a great break but the CB went back and forth three times to scratch giving Albin bih and a runout to tie it up 1-1.

Albin breaks at 1-1. He does the same exact thing that Shane did in the previous rack going back and forth avoiding all the moving balls to scratch in the side.

Shane comes to the table. Shane plays a 1-6 combo to start the rack. Other than that, the rack appears to be wide open and I don't foresee any issues. As soon as I say that Shane overruns shape on the 4 but comes three rails around to get on the 5. He lands a little bit straight on the 7 but pulls it back with a nice angle on the 8 to get on the 9 and take the lead once again at 2-1.

Let's see how he does on the break this time.

Shane breaks and makes nothing on the break. Avoids the scratch this time.

Albin comes to the table and the 2-3 is clustered next to the corner but there's room to squeek the 2 by the 3. Other than that, it's an open rack and Albin should run it out to tie it up.

He does. 2-2.

Albin breaks and makes 3 balls on the break getting some nice kisses. He has an open shot on the 1 and no obviously problem balls except for the 8-9.

Albin makes the 1 and leaves himself a long straight shot on the 3. The 4's next to the pocket so a simple stop shot on 3 does the trick. Albin over runs shape on the 7 which he needed to get right on the 8. He over runs shape on the 8 a bit but still has a good shot. He gets on the 9 and takes the lead for the first time at 3-2.

Albin breaks dry and leaves a long open shot on the 1 for Shane.

Shane comes to the table and cinches the one kicking the two out and away from the 6. The two ends up as a slightly thin cut into the corner, he makes it but ends up leaving himself a jumpshot on the three which he makes with a shot on the four.

He makes the four with some outside draw and leaves himself a medium length, medium difficulty shot on the 5. He makes it coming 2 rails up table for the six and looks like a simple 3 ball runout to tie it back up.

He does tie it up at 3-3 and will break.

Shane comes to the table and breaks in a ball but goes back and forth and scratches in the side again.

There's a difficult three ball tied up with the seven requiring short side shape. Two is sitting in the pocket down table from the three. Albin hits the seven knocking it away from the three but is really close it and the six is blocking the pocket. He plays the combo on the six and runs shape a little far hooking himself behind the five. He breaks out the jump cue and makes the three jumping the five but at a seemingly impossible angle heading up table towards the four, the CB finds the side, scratching.

With 4 balls on the table and bih, Shane should take the lead again and he does.

4-3 Shane.

Let's see if Shane can break without scratching this time. Shane breaks and makes 2 balls and has a shot on the one, although it's a thin cut against the rail and he has to use the bridge to reach it. He cinches it and goes up and down table to have the shot on the four in the side. He pinch draws off of the four to get shape on the five and leaves himself a good angle on the seven to go down table for the eight.

Shane finishes it off to take the first 2 game lead of the match.

5-3 Shane.

Shane breaks and makes 2 balls on the break again, he gets a good knock from the eight to avoid scratching in the other side and the one lays up right in front of the opposite side. Shane draws out to avoid the seven and comes two rails to get perfect on the two. The six is close to the nine and Shane narrowly avoids hitting the six on the way to the five. It's a good thing because hitting the six at that speed and angle could've tied it up on the nine.

Shane force draws the cb down table off of the five with outside to come back up to center table, flirting with the corner pocket. After coming around two rails for the seven, JJ comments on him getting the crazy eyes that means he isn't likely to miss. He gets out, extending his lead.

6-3, Shane.
