Back when I was doing criminal defense work in 1996, throwing a cueball that hit someone would get you about 2.5 years in prison absent some good work by your attorney. Back then, throwing a pool ball in Florida that connected was an Aggravated Battery, a 2nd degree felony that scored as a level 7 offense, which meant mandatory state prison time. If the ball misses, you usually would get community control (house arrest) and the lesser charge of Aggravated Assault.
If the pool ball does alot of damage to the victim..well its one of those situations where you might want to practice your fighting skills, as you will have a bit of a stay in Prison. Florida State Prison is like many state institutions in that a long tenure and you are likely to be faced with a situation in that time where you have to fight to protect yourself from being some ones *****. Sad but true, that stuff goes on alot in American prisons.
You want to resist fighting with cues and balls.
