There is a guy down the road at a bar that I will play with about every Friday and or Saturday. I usually go in and there about 7 or 8 people taking turns playing. He is usually on the table and I put my money on the table.
He is better than a banger and loves to play safety shots. He plays position for his next shot (nothing further) and often times I think to myself "why did he leave it there"? and he ends up having to bank it.
Whenever I play him, he wins maybe half the time and I don't understand. Not a humble brag but I am much better than him. The other night, I was at the table for 9 games playing really well. He walks in and beats me on his first game.
A couple games later, we play again and I leave him with 6 balls on the table. I win a few more games and he beats me again.
I wasn't playing bad against him but for whatever reason in this universe, the balls just rolled different for him when he didn't intend them to.
Anyway...Does anyone else have an arch-nemesis (for lack of a better word) that seems to get the best of you when there is no way it should happen?
