I'd really like to use a chalk holder, but i can't just seem to like it. No matter what i've tried they just all seem to bulky. I'm at the point where i have glued a metal strip to the bottom of the chalk and using a magnet clip. I just can't seem to get a natual body movment flow with this method.

I have a closet full of every conceivable chalk holding apparatus that's ever been sold and I could never get comfortable with any of them. And, I don't like leaving my chalk on the table, not at home or on any other table. I just stick it in my pocket. I have been using Taom V10 since it came out and I just chalk once every rack so it's what I have got used to.

I tried one but kept knocking the cube into to floor. I noticed that in my pre-shot routine I swipe my hand right in front of that pocket. I’ll try it one more time. If I can’t figure it out I’m giving it away. I guess that or look for pants/shorts with an oversized fifth pocket.

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that ping.
Gloves... They make so much sense but I just cant get used to them. The feeling of the shaft is apparently very important to me. I've even forced myself to wear one while playing for a month. Still didn't feel right. I still keep a cheapie in my bag in case there's some crazy humidity situation but I think they're just not for me.

Most magnetic chalk holders. I've only found one commercial one that I like. I do like magnetic chalk so oftentimes I'll put a 25mm rare earth magnet in the bottom of my jeans pocket and just stick it to the jeans. I also like that the chalk sits a bit lower. It feels more natural for me to reach for chalk at thigh level than on my hip.

I make my own magnetic holders. I don't like anything on the chalk cube though, so I glue a strip of metal to the bottom of the chalk. Got the idea from Mezz Smart Chalk.
Minus whatever the chalk costs, I've got about $2 into each holder, the clips and magnets are cheap. The metal I use is a steel strapping band I got from a buddy that works at a mill. The thickness of the metal makes a difference, too thick and it is hard to get off of the clip, (sticks too hard to the magnet) and you can end up tearing the metal off the chalk. The banding is just about perfect.

This is how i feel. I like the feel of the shaft in my hand, but who knows. I've never even tried a glove. I could like it, just never needed it.
Now I'm thinking about keeping some wetwipes in my case. I have to have my hands and the shaft clean, and from touching the table and other surfaces throughout the night i get that slight sticky feeling and have to go wash my hands. wipes might be more convenient.
