Irish -
This forum and a listing on the Orange Ball site are the only notifications for this Tournament -as far as I know

It is every Wednesday and located about 20 miles from Reagan Washington National Airport and about 30 miles from Dulles International.

explain to me the modified apa rules, because I thought this was a texas express rules turny. with no handicap

It is my understanding that the modified rules are that jump cues are allowed.
There is no handicap its just race to 5 winners, race to 3 losers bracket.

onestroke - The best answers to your questions would come from Sol if you give him a call - or - the next time I see him I'll see what he says about your inquiry.

thanks

Traffic is a blitch from Dulles. It will take a looooong drive any time after about 3.30pm.

That said, Orange ball is a fine place to hang: clean, nicely decorated, excellent food and full bar. Gold crowns and aramiths for equipment.

That's true - 3:30-8:00pm during the week is not a time to drive on the beltway unless absolutely necessary.
Weekends are ok.

there is nothing that remotely resembles APA . its Texas express plain and simple . no hcp . it is however a great week day turny that brings top players witch could include guys like Dannygreen , Ryann McReesh ,Brandon shuff ,Manny chu ,Mike Davis .ect you never know who may show up there. it is one of the best weekday turnys you can play in ,

Thanks for the clarification. I edited the original post to remove the APA designation and added Texas Express.

-edit - I thought I could edit the title - but it appears to still say APA.
I'll re-post next week properly.

Bill, are you the TD for this weekly tourney now? Does Mike Ricciardella still play in this Wednesday night tournament?

Inquiring minds wanna know! :)

Me - The Tourney Director? Haha now that's funny :)
No, I'm new to the pool tournament world. Sol is still the TD and will hopefully continue to be for some time.

I began playing the Sunday Tourney at O.B. earlier this year and since the Wednesday and Sunday Tourneys were not advertised many places I told Sol I was going to post them here on the AZ Forums.

Since I work Wed nights I rarely if ever get to play this Tourney so I'm not sure about Mike.
I'm checking with a friend who knows all the players there - I'll let you know.

Hey Jam -
I hear the Mike is often there on Wednesday nights. He doesn't always play the tournament - but he's usually at O.B.
