My 1st pool table gets installed in my home next weekend. No more of paying to practice. Now I really get to work on my game! My goal is to get to the status of a "B" player. Hard to do when you only get to play twice a week....So I'm excited!
Congrats on your new table. Having a home table pays for itself fast. Figure just 2 hours a day 6 days a week=600 hrs table time not coming out of pocket. Add to that no gas, wear on your car, and maybe a snack or drink and it can pay for a good table in a few years or way less if you play more .Johnnyt

Imagine if you player golf or bowled? With pool though you can play under championship conditions right in your own home. If you get the right table you will probably own it for many years. There has been a table in my house since I was 8 years old. For all those who say you will never play on it, I can tell you it is my favorite room. When ever we have company it is the only room anyone congregates in. I could not imagine not having a table, anyone who says otherwise is just sour grapes. My current Gold Crown I have had set up for over 20 years. Although I have had a table for so many years, I can just picture how excited you are.
I bought a GCI off Craigs List and set it up with Simonis/Artemis for $1800.
Paid for its self in 1 year!
Enjoy the new table and please post some pics.
