Exotic Wraps

Here are 2 examples of Tiger Products stacked wraps. The pics show the wear.
These were done in 99 & 00. Very comfortable wrap and holds up well and can be done up many ways/colors.
These wraps are definitely different.

That cue was buil for me when I played for areil Carmeli
Back in 2010 I play for mike gulyassy now he built me a ivory
Handled playing cue my favorite handle ha but ring tail feels
Great nice and even feel great grip and easy to keep close little
Neutral kiwi shoe polish make it last forever.

lizzard belly cut or back cut are exactly the same quality... if they are bulky or not it just depends on how the hide was tanned n treated while in crust form... u can have a big lizzard with large scales feeling very soft n flat ... but that depends if it has been hot pressed or not...

baby python is another excelent option with great detail...

go with the lizzard...belly cut...

Roger's the expert, so this is what I decided to go with. The man has pry forgotten more about leather than I will ever know!

Elephant looks classy also.

So I've worn out my linen pretty good on my player. I want to put something off the wall back on in it place. Ringtail, Stingray, elephant, but something that's a bit out there and different. I'd kinda like to stick to black, but I'd be open to another color if it goes good with tulip and ebony.

I'd like to see some pictures of some cues with exotic leather wraps, so I can get an idea of what to put on.

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

P.S. this is the cue it's going on.

Good luck on finding a cuemaker or anyone else that will do a stingray wrap on a cue.

I already found one that will take a crack at it.

You've been around different leathers for a few years now Jack, you probably no better than most. What's so hard about working with stingray?

this is a wrap out of a great white... I did this 4 years ago on a predator p3 black.... it was a nightmare ... mr jack is correct... stingrays a pain... n a big one! stingray n shark ate very very similar ... requires allot of sanding... skyving n also n extremely sharp knife to cut the joints...I know very well stingray... work with it everyday... my company is probably one of the largest exporters of stingray in the world... my bread n butter;)

I posted this some time ago. the piece of stingray is quite raw and largely unpolished, but it looks nice on the cue. I will be buying this cue if my friend ever decides to sell.

FYI, the grip and feeling of this wrap is brilliant, no worries for players with much sweat

that's a very nice grip... and it is very well sanded... scales of stingray are deep ... so don't be mistaken bout thickness.. that grip is about 1mm thick... atleast 1mm

Yes, Roger, It is quite thick, more than 1mm. I got the wrap in my hands before it was installed.

but I bet it was bout 2.5mm thick before it was sanded...special on the center...
we use heavy duty master sanders to get the stingray ready for production... I have a stingray case coming up very soon... gona be interesting to see;)

when my friend got that piece it was ready for installation, so I don't know how thick it was originally, but I think you are right/

can't wait to see your stingray case. all of your cases posted here are awesome.
