Some time ago there was a thread about some very expensive chalk. I don’t remember the name of it. Can someone provide a link to the web site. Seems the chalk might have have been for billiards players.

Seems to be made by some small group, maybe an individual.

Thanks for any help on this poorly stated questions.

If anyone has used it comments would be appreciated.

Blue Diamond?

If you are refering to blue diamond, IMO you cant go wrong. i have been useing it for about 5 months now and refuse to let anything else touch my cues. Try it, you'll like it.

JW,
The most expensive chalk I have seen is the Sang Lee brand chalk. Developed for billiards players, I believe it retailed for $12.99 for 3 cubes (in a plastic, rectangular case; with desiccant).

While it is certainly superior to any chalk I have used; it is very fine and very messy for the table owner. I received a large quantity as a gift; but I only use it in competition - too messy for my home table.

Thanks Mike I will try the Blue Diamond as well.

The Sang Lee chalk is what I read about. I just googled it and can't find a supplier. Anyone know where I can get it?

From what I have read it is the nuts and I want to try some.

I don't do windows but I do clean pool tables !

From where I sit now it seems that chalk is an important component of the game. Spent lots of money on other stuff and now its time try to make the game that much better.

Maybe you are searching for the NIR chalk:

it's messy as well, but grabs to the tip like no other, the table gets messy and your hands and shaft get a little blue, but with all the extra work cleaning up, it's worth it.

Allot of the other chalk right now, just seems like clay, and doesn't stick to the tip at all. This doesn't do anything for my confidence when getting the cueball to travel 3 rails.

I am quite surprised though, allot of players here do not seem to like this chalk, give it a try and i am sure it will surprise you.

Joe, the Blue Diamond is excellent chalk. I think you'll be impressed.
