This is early model Chris Hightower repair lathe (converted wood lathe) that I am selling for the wife of a very close friend that passed away last October. The lathe is in good operating condition and includes many extras including: the work bench it is mounted to, the tenon machine in the picture, a Porper linen press, assorted size shaft pins, assorted Irish linen, some old cue parts and shafts including a few new shaft blanks, and lots of tips, ferrules, joint collars and other repair parts. This lathe is excellent for doing tips, cleaning shafts, putting on Irish linen wraps (lathe has a separate wrapping motor included), and other repairs. Due to it’s size and weight this lathe and all that is including must be picked up and shipping it is not an option. The lathe is located outside of Philadelphia, Pa. arrangement can be made with me and Mike’s wife to show the lathe and extras in person. Price lowered to SOLD per advice from Chris Hightower. See the last post for his comments. for everything I mentioned.

Please feel free to PM or email me at ****@***.com if you have any questions or for additional pictures.

Thanks,

Pat

Early Hightower Lathe.

My buddy bought the lathe new along with a how to video along with quite a bit of other stuff directly from Chris Hightower. He wanted to get into cue repairs and possible try to make pool sticks. He did a lot of tip work, refinishing of shafts, Irish linen wraps with lathe. He actually made a hand full of shafts using blanks he purchased from Prather cue parts.

Please read the note from Chris Hightower below. The price has been lowered to $600.00 for everything.

"Hi,
I noticed that lathe has still not sold. Because many of the functions are primitive by todays cue lathe standards and Mid Size Cue Smiths sell for around a $1000 used. I am guessing you are going to have to lower that price to about $650 to sell it. I know that is not good news, but the lathe is 20 plus years old and not as accurate as todays machines.
Here is what I would do if I wanted to sell it for the most money possible. I would takes the Taylor ferrule machine off and sell it separately for $150 and ask $600 for the lathe with the other extras.
You might wind up with $750 that way.
Thanks,
Chris
