F/S Gina Cue 2009

Hi all,

Excellent condition (90%) used Gina cue, made in 2009.

Classic butt sleeve from the 70's.

Rare brazilian Cocobolo nose.

Black leather wrap.

Pilot ivory joint 16/18

Specs:

Butt: 15.7oz
Shaft 1: 4.1 oz
Shaft 2: 3.5 oz

Heavier shaft is around 12.9/13mm
The lighter one is 12.75mm.

Both come with ivory ferrules with dark black laminated tips (possibly Kamui Black).


Most importantly: -this cue is dead straight,with both the shafts.
And it's all original from head to toe.

No disappointments with this cue.It hits amazing, and it seems like it had very light use.

I used to own this cue.

Here's the story as told to me by one of the most trusted source on the planet: Ernie has a few of the 60's era butts -including titleists- sitting in a barrel uncompleted through all these years. Then one day, Kevin Brewer convinced Ernie to complete them. Hence these few cues have Ivory Joints and dated 2009.

So whoever buys this cue will get the best of both world: a new-old cue that has been aging beautifully through all these years.

I was very lucky to hit a few balls with this cue at Felt Billiards. It has a fantastic hit, feels great, and is beautiful in person. That's partially true. I did convince the Ernie to make some cues out of some old Titlists and even some Spain blanks he had laying around. However this cue is not one of them.

That's a newer joint on an older cue. Ernie may have done a complete rebuild of one of his old cues, or might have done a joint replacement. For sure he started with one of his older cues, as I know he won't put that old logo on a new cue (I've begged) unless you are handing him a cue with that old logo on it to rebuild. One of the reasons Ginas have held and risen in value so well is that Ernie shows that kind of respect to the collectors that bought his cues.
