upz, forgot to add that there is 2 shafts with it, slightly above 13mm. Both ivories ferrule. One moori med and the other elk master

Under the workshop of Miranda, there is quite a few cuemakers. The owner is Johnathan Tornea. Who inspects the qualitly of the cue that is made before it is shipped out. Miranda cues are value for money. The workmanship cannot be compared to top notch cue makers though. Still, the, workmanship is of high standards.

If I'm not mistaken Miranda Cues is located in the Phillipines?

I wouldnt know how to do that, neither would i try, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you do not think they are better, so be it. I am a pool player, not a cuemaker. Cheers.

Yes, that is correct. :) The quality of miranda cues are comparable to Viattore and Linds or even better. But they are less well known.

sorry to disagree...
"quality is even better" i dont think so...
both "BRANDS" pirated "talents" from me... that i have trained for years...astetics-(inlays)probably...but structural/foundation???
been hearing 1st hand info from former talents relatives/talents themselves when visiting me here at my shop (miranda and others) end.
of how their system/machinery is...
"you always get...what you paid for" only time could tell, for now...
be abit more patient folks...:D soon you'll get to know them better... ;)

Would you mind quantifying that statement?
How are they better than Linds?
It's kinda tabboo in this business to desparage another maker to try to sell your own brand.

That's true.
You are entitled to your opinion.
Good luck in selling your Miranda.
I remember Plaza Miranda. It wasn't pretty.

Hey linds, no offence, like i said, i am a pool player, not a cuemaker. Those are my opinions from a pool player. Who am i to argue with a cuemaker what is the best cue made? But its in my opinion that Miranda cues are good cues and i am just using a yardstick for better item description and i am not wrong in my sense. back to the topic of selling my cue. Upz for interested buyers.

anyone want to know anything about Miranda cue, visit www.mirandacue.com
which is the website that I built for promotion or contact me in person, I am currently the distributor of mirandacue in taiwan, for some particular reason I might end up my relationship with jon but before that I am ok to take any question if anyone have any concern toward this brand.

Woah, i am getting embroiled in an internal affair in phillipines when i am just trying to sell my cue. Haha. My respect to all the cuemakers. I am just a guy trying to sell my cue here.

Hi, I been dealing with Miranda Cue for a while now and have bought several high end cues from him. There seem to be a lot of negative feedback about Miranda that I wasn't even aware of. Anyway, when Miranda claim that his shaft wood are aged for 5+ year.. its true because I supply him with all of his shafts wood which are aged for over 5 years and dipped in Nelsonite.. He also source a lot of material and woods from various Canadian and US suppliers.

I been collecting and selling cues for a while now and I can say that Miranda Cue does make quality cue that actually plays good (Mostly due to the big pin that he used on his cue (3/8-10, now he has the same pin as Southwest). You probably will get the best bang for your money with a Miranda cue. It looks amazing and play nice. Of course, I have to get a local cue maker to make better shafts initially for my custom cue but now that he has better wood and shaft dowels u might not need to.

Having said all that, there are still a lot of problems will cues coming from the phillipine due to moisture etc. (Even if you have a control environment..the cue will warp in some way) I got my first Miranda Gina Copy about 1 year ago and it was perfect when I got it. Its straight and played amazing.. the shafts were actually had very tight and straight grain as well it was dipped in some so of solution to make the shaft hard. But now, the cue is totally warped, I had to get a cuemarker to replace the handle to straighten the cue out. But again, I got the gina copy for $225, it had ivory and it was beautiful, so with the modification etc...the cue is still worth it. But lately, Miranda cue prices has been sky rocketing, you can get a Miranda for $225 anymore... I got several high end cues that have cost me 4 digits. I may have been lucky but Miranda made me a customized cue that just plays amazing...like a JW that I've shouldn't have sold. I guess it all have to do with the quality of the shafts and material.
I had him used very tight grain maple for the forearm and butt sleeve and sent him 2 high quality shafts dowel for my shaft. Plus him coring the cue and what ever else process his team has..the cue was exactly what i wanted. Again the only problem with this amazing playing cue is that the butt sleeve is off. Complaint to him like crazy..but again nothing he can do..it was perfect in the phillipine. But even with the slight defect, I was very happy with the cue.

Regards,
Duc Lam

Plus I would say REPOST YOU ADVERTISEMENTS, and PHOTO so potential buyers don’t get caught up in a P.I. Cuemakers Fight.

To JoeyInCali I have to laugh about you saying “It's kinda tabboo in this business to desparage another maker to try to sell your own brand.”

Think Meucci Cues have be the target of a few of your disparaging remark if my memory serves me correctly...
:(

this is why i reacted while being used as a yardstick-guage to sell the said cue... (nothing personal/just posted facts that of my own opinion)...
wreckless selling style...why should he mention "brands" in order to sell?
worst, hes trying to convey that "my product" are price higher, yet comparable/even better quality with his???

5 y/o seasoned shafts+++
even 10 y/o shaft turned and finish within a week, cut manually with knives, hand plainers...wont stand the test of time due to stress/change of envrmnt factor, etc.
my former "talents" are being paid on a "per piece" weekly/basis... in order to make more...the "talents" work as fast as they can...sacrificing the system i taught them for years...:(
