As this cue is 99.9999% not likely to be played with, the condition of the cue and originality is far more important. If the thing is AS NEW, it wouldn't matter if it weighed 15 ounces or 25 ounces, it would still be worth a good amount. The same is true for the opposite scenario.

An extra shaft does help, but is not huge. Unless there is a pedigree for the 2nd shaft, they can be picked up anywhere, anytime. And, can be considerably younger or older than the butt itself.

Additionaly, the slim possibility of the cues maker may effect the value.

In a nutshell, the cue could be worth anything from $200 to $2,000, with a likely value in the mid to high hundreds for generally good condition.

In this case, pictures do tell a thousand words...

I don't know where the 99.9999% and not been played with came from, but do agree that pics will help determine an appropriate value through the cue's age and condition. Estimates at this point would be pure speculation, but I would be glad to assist when you have the pics. Please PM me then.

I had 4 almost brand new 1pc I got 400$ each for. Sat in a box for 40 years. Extra shaft helps. Price would depend on who wants it. 2pc cues are very hard to convert sometimes too skinny at joint and leather is cut too deep

if the cue is a 2 pieca and as nice as you say they have been doing between 6-800 on ebay the last few months as long as the sticker is in tact and looks great! just my 2 cents

i think this cue is not very valuable collection.
Tell your friend, he did not just win the lotto.

Seriously though, the butt is something, just don't know what. I've never seen a 'Rambow' with that joint & ringwork.

How sure are you that it's Rambow? Here's a link from "The Connoisseur of Cues" http://www.azbilliards.com/rarecues/ - it clearly says Rambo... Typo?

The connoisseur of Cues could use a spell checker. Anybody heard of Steve Clein cues?

Well, if anybody wants a rambo cue, I could dig one up. Comes with fancy knife and beret. And it always DRAWS first blood.

Good luck with your sale of an interesting cue.
