Faces for the names

Hell, if I gave up beer alone, I would lose the 15-20lbs that I want to shed.... It's a bitch, though.... I don't think I can do it.

This is me...

Here's a solo pic of me, but I like the family one better (though my wife would kill me if she knew I put it on here).

Hmmmm, obviously I that's not how you insert jpgs, you'll have to click on the attachements.

I went into Marine Corps boot camp weighing 225. I came out 14 weeks later weighing 174. I've been climbing ever since.

Me too..I was 220 going in, 179 out of bootcamp...by the time I got out 4 years later I was carrying 205....Add 7 years, a wife and kids, a desk job, strong love of pasta, and you have the 60 pounds or so more than when I got out.....

Everyone loses so much in bootcamp, but usually they gain it back quite fast. This one guy dropped 53 pounds (most in our platoon) during bootcamp, and after an extended leave (xmas holiday) returned to SOI already gained over half back. It was 15 days....

Hey Steve, did I meet you at Valley Forge at the poolroom where I played in the Open tournament?

I weighed 184 when I joined, and left at 155. I couldn't get above 160 for the next three years, as I was always in the field, doing PT, or deployed. I think the lowest I ever weight was 150 and that was coming back from Kuwait. I have a picture of me from over there, and I look anorexic!

Add a desk job, not working out, drinking too much, and eating what I want..... back up to 185 again....

*sigh*

I joined the Air Force at 134lbs (I'm 5, 8'). I actually put on weight in basic training (Feb-1998) from eating 3 meals a day (guess playing pool all the time and eating once a day wasn't giving me enough calories..LOL) and left weighing in at about 145. I got through 3 months of Tech school and weighed 155lbs. I continued running and working out for the next years and got up to about (2001 time frame)165lbs. I fluctuated between 160-165 when my wife and I were training for a marathon in 2003. That November when we found out she was pregnant it all went downhill..LOL. She put on weight, and I put on weight. No running, just a lot of sitting around. I got up to 177lbs (about 12lbs of pure fat) and I've been at that weight. I started back running though last week..so I'm sure I'll be back down to 165 in no time. Just have to get up to 5 miles a day to burn those calories, because I can't do it by dieting. I like to eat too much. Rigorous exercise should do it for me though. As for my wife, she breastfed for 8 months and the weight melted off. When she started back on birth control she gained a few LB'S and has been doing "THE FIRM" which works really well. Ok, back to watching the soap opera.

Could we conclude it in the new year? I need to spit this life growing inside me out first...I'll use my weight from about Dec 1st. I'll re-wiegh say Jan 20th??? I think that is fair. :D
If you were going to be a minimum of 30 lbs over weight we might wait... as it is... 15 lbs MAX doesn't count... I used to be like you.... now i know why the fat girls didn't like me...

:D

Kinda figured, since I have such a beef with anonymous people, maybe others might like a peek at who's posting on this end.

Maybe a couple of others will throw in too :)

Here's a recent pic of my son, myself and one Hell of a great guy, Mike Masse.

I was born and raised in Maryland and REALLY miss all of the action at Bill and Billies 24/7. California is alright but I do miss my hometown and family a ton. My wife and I do hope to visit around the holidays and I can't wait. Maryland is the BEST! This visit I'm going to take the time to see some of my favorite cue makers too. We didn't get the chance last time  Take care and pardon me for just dropping in. I'm just missing my home town.

Since I'm 52, my compliments to the air brush artist! And yes, that's my real hair color. Everyone asks.

I'm with you - I've got before & after pics in my purse, on my mirror at home, and in my cube at work. My after pic is real skinny - I may lose a few pounds from now (my avatar is current) but I won't go as low as the after pic again. (I had something to prove at the time!) The pics keep me motivated to stay where I am & not go up again.

If I had three wishes, you can bet one of them would be for a fast metabolism! LOL

Mary

Another beautiful woman who likes pool. I missed a lot during the last year or so not stopping by here.

Yes, you did. By the open tournament I assume you mean the one that was down in a semi-basement poolroom with exposed pipes overhead, "no bar, no bowling, no pinball, just pool".
It was the tournament where this totally awesome road player from the southwest or Texas was playing. He was originally from some middle-east country, I forget which one, maybe Lebanon.

Did you "gain" height too from standing up straight? I did.

See, I would've forgotten had I not seen your pic! Of course, by the time you met me, I was out! I know the guy you're talking about, well, I don't know him but I remember seeing him.

Confused???

With these two threads going on i'm confused (which isn't hard to do ) where to post my ugly mug at, so everyone can look at it twice! This is me again at the 04 Glass City Open
