Famous Hustlers

One of the very best Hustlers was(is) Weldon (Jr) Rogers. Ask any of the old Timers, ran with Ronnie Allen, Buddy Hall etc. Not well known, but got the cash. Ask Keith M. He played one handed top speed also.

this is very true not only was Weldon a great pool player on ( barbox with big rock he could gin it)
he was prolly the smartest gambler i ever knew if you ever saw him in any action you knew what side
to bet he was one of the true smarts

Weldon could BU$T them in a matter of days.

Weldon "JR" was one of my most influential mentors, I traveled with him extensively when I was in my early 20s....he was, in my opinion, the best hustler/gambler in the world. Jack Cooney was great at setting up pool rooms, but he took weeks to do it, Weldon could BU$T them in a matter of days.

I have enough "JR. Weldon" stories to fill a book, and I have a feeling they will be in a book within the next year or two. I never took a trip with "JR" that we didn't average at least a thousand dollars a day......some trips we would average $1500 a day (over an entire month). Those were the days, when everyone played "2 Shot Rules" and gambled.....one foul is simply not a very good gambling game. 'The Game is the Teacher'
