Fancy black boar spider cue

Here's a new one from the BB shop, which also happens to be the last of the African Blackwood Spider Cues. With this one Tony wanted to dress it up a little and I think he nailed it.The eight ivory prongs are enhanced with pink ivory and silver and the spider has a MOP body with 22 kt gold legs. In addition the BB logo is done in sterling and gold, and really adds a nice touch. With the 2 ferulle-less shafts it makes for one sexy player.

Back in late Dec, I got a chance to visit Tony's shop. I was introduced to him by someone who knows him well. (thanks buddy) I was shown all the equipment, some completed cues that I got to play with (the spider cue is awesome), Tony's pool philoshophy, and I saw some cues that were in mid construction. I believe yours was in the inlay pocketing part. The small pocket spaces that they work in is amazing, using thin strips of ivory to sand in very small spaces to get the right contour for even smaller inlays. The finished product looks great! And I'm sure plays great too!

ps if I had the money, i would have left his shop with that spider cue that I was playing with, it felt that good.:)

i bet this cue plays. thats a thin taper on the forearm. wasnt this one of tonys first parabolic tapers? i bet you can throw this thing around nicely

Erich must have called you

I started giving him your number then said try this one and here is another and then there is this one! So many phones. How do find time to answer all of them!! By the way he loves his Spider Cue too!
Sweet Cue!

Holy crap that's gorgeous! Pure class personified. I love the little ivory inlays for joint rings., and the spider is very cool. Tony is on some kinda level.

This cue does not have the parabolic taper of the previous widows. The Spider cues are different. I'll try not to throw it around .

I spoke with Eric about these cues and I think his is similiar to mine. He likes his a lot.

Wow… damn nice looking Cue!

Man… I am so jealous of your collection! Every cue… every freakin cue you post is a cue I wish I had:o
Not like most cues I see and think “wow that’s nice” and then forget about it an hour later… I mean I really want to be the owner of every cue you have posted you really have my taste in cues! I wish I just had the money to put into a bigger collection…

Congrats on another addition to your collection

Awesome Black Boar

Tom, great cue for your Collection, and it has to be an awesome player. Looks like you prefer the solid SS joint and not Tony's ivory-sleeved SS joint. You did a great job designing this cue for Tony to build! I will not be able to see you at Valley Forge this year, and I will miss that. Paul Del Giudice.

Incredible!!

Really, amazing. This is the kind of cue I dream about having. Thanks for sharing!

Pete

you can't go wrong with any of tony's cue but that one is really quite elegant .... am sure you will enjoy it for years to come ..
