Fargo in North Carolina

Looking to establish a Fargo rating. I’m currently in the Fayetteville North Carolina area. Anyone know where I could find weekly tournaments? I can travel to near by cities like Raleigh or Wilmington on weekends.

brass tap in Raleigh, breaktime in Wilmington. pretty sure if you look around there's tourneys in fayetteville.

Most weekly tournaments at this point are not reporting to Fargorate.

Of what value would establishing a Fargo rating be if you can't find anywhere to play where it is used?

I’m currently in the military stationed at fort bragg. I’ll be moving soon to a location that I know they use the Fargo system regularly. I just wanted to get established before playing doubles with a old friend of mine.

If you have a rating in another league or can rank yourself honestly, Mike Page posts on here quite a bit and can add you to the system, or you can reach him on Facebook also.

To get "established" you need a lot of matches.

You can also ask for the tournaments to report the results to Fargo, they would need names and win/loss results as well as the number of games won in a set.

This thread has a chart where you can roughly get your starter rating in https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=460556 If you are not sure where you rank, play the 9 ball ghost 10-20 times, note how many balls you ran run out on average.

3 would make you a C, 4 is about a C+, 5-6 B- to B, 6,7 B+, 8-9 A- to A+ For Fargo ratings for those, a solid B would be in the 500-550 range, B+ is up to just under 600, A- is about 590 - 630 and.
