Fargo Ratings, Different Starting #s?

I'm in a similar situation - I've been doing a BCA league for a couple of years, and quite a few local tournaments, but I have no games in the system. My friends who have gone to nationals do have games in the system.

Is your league operator entering games into LeagueSys? That would be the only possible way the BCAPL could have the info to enter into FargoRate, but I don't think they do that for BCAPL leagues. USAPL leagues...yes.

I submit our BCAPL league games to Mike Page via email. Talk to your league operator. Have him or her contact Mike Page and find out how to format a spreadsheet of games to submit to Fargo.

I play in a BCAPL and have a few hundred games played over a few seasons. Also played in a league tourney, yet I only have a 44 game robustness. Is it something the league has to submit or should it be automatically posted?

It has stayed that way for as long as I have checked.

Just curious.

Hi Pocket,

It is up to the individual league operator to put games into the Fargo system.
Our league operator decided to dump all the league games into the system and fortunately I already had over 500 games in Fargo. I was established at approximately 655 at the time. During league I won 65 games and lost 5. Once those games were added in, my Fargo went up to about 669. If I would have had less games in the system, I'm sure it would have been a bigger jump.
Arizona as a whole has really jumped onto Fargo. We use it for many tournaments and you would be surprised how many matches go hill/hill.
There are a few local players that I feel are rated a lil low in Fargo, but they also have very few games in the system. Once a player gets over 200 games, their rating is usually pretty accurate. I would say within 20 points of there true rating.

Right, I'm sure they're just not set up yet, which is fine with me. I just wanted to let the other poster know that his situation was not an anomaly.

I have played in a few tournaments where the director seemed really into Fargo ratings and said he was sending the results in, but they seem not to have made it.

Yes our league enters all our scores for the last three sessions into LeagueSys, yet I still only have 41 games.

So can someone confirm that the league has to manually enter the data?

We have been able to get in some past league games, and some past tournament games, but many many we have not. Our focus now is on finishing and unveiling straightforward mechanisms to get future games incorporated in real time.

You are better off contacting the BCAPL directly with this question rather than waiting for them to see your post and perhaps respond. Better yet get your LO to contact them, if possible.

BTW the answer is yes, currently you must manually enter BCAPL league games into the Fargo system. But I'm just an LO, I don't work for CSI.

Thank you for taking the time to respond Mike.
