I can honestly say that there isnt much player product in this area..........Around Baton rouge....New orleans......west side Lake Charles... and Shreveport yes.......... but Lafayette........ Just a bunch of league players mainly and guys who think they can play :P
If what said is true, where did the 117 players come from to White Diamond Billiards last year?

Yes

Cause they came from Alabama, Arkansas, Miss.,Texas and even one from North Carolina........

Just like they normally do for the Fast Eddies Tour! So where are they?

They could've had 10 days of non-stop action!

It was even a suprise to Lewis that by friday night there was only like 20 entrys.........I myslef am shocked to so few for a tour stop. I was speaking in general that the talent in lafayette is so few.....

One thing that might have played a part in few players was that the Fast Eddie's location in lafayette........ they didnt Advertise......I made lewis aware of this....... I didnt know of the tourney til bout 2-3 weeks before and I was there the night before I found that out.......just a guess is all

That is a huge part of it and that problem is being fixed as we speak. That will no longer be a problem.

In all my years around pool, that is the most emabarrasing weekend of my life.

Changes are in place.

Lewis we all know it wasnt your fault for that.......Some of the staff at the Lafayette location isnt really that friendly and they have no problems hollaring out vulgar stuff across the room....Especially the Supervisor guy that was there friday night. Like I said there was zero advertising for the tournament!

Hope fully next time it will be better!!

The reality is that when you are the promoter of a tournament and it turns out badly, there is nobody else to blame. So, I'm accountable, it was 100% my fault. I'm not bitter, just embarrassed that we do such a suck assed job.

Lewis you and Paul are two of the best TD's I've ever seen...Every TD can only go to a certain extent on their part..and I haven't ever seen you take a lack luster approach in any situation that you've been in..

And it is hard to get the Tourney promoted when your like 5+ hours away from it and the place of the tournament just wont advertise......I wont blame you for a thing Lewis. I had a blast at the ringgame!!!!

I guess it's like the man said who just fell off the ladder and broke his arm, "wow, I'm glad that's over".

Bad turnouts motivate me to be better at what I do. After all, there is no alternative unless you are a loser.

Don't bet yourself up!

:)

We have had our share of lower-than-normal attendance as well. We found it's due to too many tournaments, the economy, the date we chose, and/or conflicting events (not just tournaments, but "life" things).

The wise one has spoken.

Sometimes we can do everything right and it just doesn't work! Not saying that's what happened, we just need to learn and move forward.

Remember your 3 P's!!! Promote,Promote,Promote!! LOL

I'm not beating myself up at all. Sometimes errors should stick with you just as a constant reminder of what failure is all about.
