The Fast Eddies in Colege Station opens today January 11th. FWIW!!

Wow, all of the spring dates are the weekend right before our exam weeks. Well, I guess I'll play in June then.

Please put one in Denton...The only pool hall we have here is a real crapper....I used to work at CJ's in Dallas and besides my table at the house there's nothing worth playing on here...I'll see you at the tournament this weekend. John R. and I will be there.

Tony,
I'm at the UT Health Science Center School of Medicine. Although considering how I sucked it up on Friday night at Banana's, I'll stick to school for now.

Any chance of ever getting a stop in Mcallen??

We were in Mcallen twice about 2-3 years ago and couldn't get any participation. Plus, they robbed us blind down there.

Fast Eddies - College Station, TX

Shot at the Fast Eddies at College Station, Texas over the weekend.

Very nice and larger (more tables) than what it looks like from the outside.

I shot on one (1) of the two (2) Olenhaus 9-footers.
Very nice, but needed to be leveled.
The table mechanic was there and mentioned it needed some work.

Since Lewis is sooooo lazy....:D I'll post the results.

David G. 1st place.....3rd tour victory in a row.
Jui Lung Chen. 2nd place.
Gabe Owen...3rd place
James Davis Sr. 4th place.
5th-6th Charlie "hillbilly" Bryant
??????

Can't remember who got the other 5th-6th spot. I think it might have been BP.

hmmm, Oh well that's all that I remember. David Double dipped Chen. He came out with such an incredible shot when it was hill-hill in the second set. I couldn't even describe it. You would have had to been there. Over all it was amazing pool. Sr. put David in the losers, and David caught a wicked gear coming through the losers. Beating Sylver Ochoa, Davis Sr., Hillbilly Bryant, Gabe Owen and Chen twice. He played almost flawless pool. Quite a treat to watch him play. I got 2 out of the money but made it to the 2nd day. Lost Hill-hill to one of our local shortstops. Oh well. I had a sick draw anyway. There was no way I was going to get deep in that tourny.

In all seriousness. Lewis and Paul were busting their asses to get this tournament rolling as smooth as it did. They are a true asset to pool. This was a great tourny with a super tough field. I was in action no stop from the second I stepped in the room until closing. I robbed a few times and I got out of line a few times but over all ended up about even.

Tony

Tony,
Thanks for putting that up. I had to go home and cram for my three exams today.

P.S. You're right also in that Lewis and Paul put on a great show. It's always great to see these matches, and it's great that they're bring all across Texas (and a little bit of Louisiana).

Thanks Tony. You too are an aset to pool in San Antonio. This town has gotten a litle stale and your enthusiasm is much needed.

You play well and remind me of me when I was young. I wanted to be a good player so badly and thought it would never happen. Well, for you, it will happen. It just takes some time like anything else in life. Play hard and have heart. Heart is the key ingrdient.
