Fast Larry is alive and well. Yesterday I was surprised to receive a package in the mail from him and in it were two VHS tapes of him shooting his trick shots. And my birthday is still three months away. He also has a DVD with trick shots but I won't tell you that you can order it on his website.

I don't attempt to do any trick shots but I do enjoy watching them being performed every now and then. Sort of a change in pace.

Me too Jake. Shocked the hell out of me. I actually opened it up outside just in case it went boom!
Haven't got to watch any of it yet but I will be soon.

For the first time I saw him three weeks ago at BCA trade show in Las Vegas.He was very quiet and minding his own.He is a well built( Like a Farmer) guy and could be physically very strong.I will not mess with him.

I always liked FL, he kinda got a raw deal in that people attacked him as much as he attacked them but the blame always went to his side. Compared to some other posters we have on this board I dont think FL should ever have been singled out.
 
There are some amazing shots on the dvd's. I believe that if you like creative artistic billiards, this set is a must have in your collection. Larry has had a lot of problems in the forums, but it takes nothing away from his ability as a player and as a true showman. At Larry's website he has samples from the dvd's. Check it out, you won't be disappointed - and hopefully you will come away with a different opinion of FL.

Well it's damn good to hear some positive talk about what he can do on the table and not the typical lambasting. (still wondering when it'll come) and also good to see you post again blackjack.
 
He was a menace but he does do some impressive shots.

Hey Blackjack, he doesn't still throw the cue on the table and puff out his chest as he walks away on the new dvds, does he? His old trick shot tape is ok, but some lady friends were laughing at him pretty good over the standing on the table martial arts balancing act and the tough guy looks he tries to pull off. He's getting a little old for that, maybe.

I honestly think he might make better instructionals than Kinister,etc.. if he concentrated on just business and stopped trying to impress people.

It's what is commonly known as showmanship and showing off or having fun in front of the camera. By the way...that was HIS TABLE.

This is absolute nonesense. FL dished out twenty times the crap he ever had to deal with himself. Before I speak my peace, let me note that FL is clearly both a talented palyer and scholar of the game of the pool. I won't suggest for a moment that I didn't enjoy many of his posts, because I did. His knowledge and experience made for many an interesting post, and he often presented his opinions with insight and clarity.

Unfdortunately, far too often, FL absolutely institutionalized disrespectful communications, and, contrary to your suggestion, often did so unprovoked. To portray him as an unlucky and misunderstood counterpuncher that got a raw deal is no more accurate than to portray Jesse James as a pacifist.

However, I will say this. If FL were to return with some remorse for past transgressions on the forum and began to converse in a tone showing respect for other posters, I'd love to have him back. If the same old FL were to return, he'd devalue our forum, just as he has done before.

Celtic, that is the biggest load of horse Sh!t that I have ever read here on AZ. The man posted BS under several differant names, he attacked anyone who disagreed with him, he was booted off and let back in a couple of times plus he snuck in a few times. He has more issues than the National Geographic magizine. I don't know where he is right now, but I hope he has gone for some therapy to treat his multiple personalities. God bless him pal, he needs it.

I was here and saw the entire show go down. Once people figured out how touchy FL was they could not stop themselves sticking little pins into him just to see how high they could make him jump. It is the same thing as Earl Strickland, by in large the guy is cool as long as you dont do something stupid to him, he will blow it out of preportion and flip out because he is like that. Same thing with FL, and once people here figured that out they could not stop themselves from neddleing him in order to see the FL show. If he came back today on his best behaviour it would be no different, I guarentee that you would get yahoos who cannot help but poke the old caged bear with a stick just to get a rise out of it.

People get ragged on here all the time Celtic. They all don't go ballistic. His only problem is his ego. That is the problem with all of us! He was comming over to my house for dinner one night. I was going to help him with an instruction class. We didn't agree on 1 thing and he went off on me. He jumped on every thread that Blud posted. He became a stalker and a trouble maker. I don't hold any grudges against him. I wouldn't care if he came back. This is the internet man. We have an ignore list. Ya don't even have to read his posts. No problem mon! Why can't we all just get along?

Sorry Celtic but I have to disagree with you. I was here also and I have a slightly different memory of that time and what occurred. For instance, someone could start an innocent thread just like many of them on the board right now; elbow drop, slip stroke, bridge snug or loose, etc. Someone would offer an opinion and FL would immediately go off on a 2,000 word post about how stupid that person was for daring to have an opinion.

Purdy said that you could use the ignore button but that doesn't work with FL. People would reply to his posts and you'd see his post on their post. You would also lose huge chunks of what's going on in the thread if you ignore him.

Another thing, he was banned not once but at least twice that I know of. Mike finally banned him for a reason and I would suggest that people respect Mike's wishes or leave the damn board. I get sick of hearing people preach this freedom BS! This is not a free board! Mike owns it and people get to post on here at his behest. If he feels like booting someone, I for one respect his wishes and will not second-guess him. If I really don't like how Mike handles the board, I have the option to leave and will exercise that option instead of bitching and moaning that someone was banned from this board. This board is just a billiard forum for goodness sake! Larry is probably doing just fine in life without being on it. I know I'm doing just fine with him not being on it!!
 
Yep, you guys just miss FL - otherwise why would you even bother to open this thread?

The guy is not even here to defend himself and people are putting him down - how low can you get? How many other people do you talk about behind their backs? You must have one miserable life.
