Fatboy Challenge

They need some easy to find brackets for this event. I have looked for them and have not seen a thing. For most people not in the "know" it is like the event does not even exist and that is a pretty big waste of a pretty cool event as far as marketing this sport goes.

Yes I agree, this forum really dogs it badly when it comes to these things, there should be at least a "Sticky" for named tournaments that have links and updates for the tournament.

America wonders why pool is so boring and dull here, well its because there is no marketing about the tournaments once they are being played, we as players and fans like easy to find daily updates/brackets and articles for the tournaments.

In the UK for instance, you would have many links to the daily happenings of a named tournament, I guess thats why their fan base is so large and intune with the players.

This subject could and should be discussed at length for the betterment of American Pool/ the fans and players.

I'm sorry, I don't have any updates for the Fat Boy Challenge! I really don't even know who was in it, or any of the players in other tournaments at the DCC.

Only the 9 ball has not concluded. The finals of banks and one pocket have been played. John Morra won the banks, and Shane Van Boening won the one pocket. I don't know who came out on top in the 14.1 challenge.

The Fatboy Challenge is not concluded according to Jay Helfert, who is running the event I believe.

Only the 9 ball has not concluded. ...

He asked about the 10-ball Challenge, Scott. The finals are yet to come -- Bustamante vs. Moore.

Edit -- and the 14.1 finals are yet to come, also -- Pagulayan vs. Souquet.

This and the straight pool challenge are very similar as far as brackets go. The Fatboy brackets are taped to the tournament room wall near the projector. The straight pool brackets are taped to the door of the straight pool room upstairs. They are both hand written.

If you are not at the event, it is almost as if these events do not exist on the Internet.

Normally, the Fatboy would be concluded by Friday, but with Shuff going deep into the one pocket, his 10 ball match was pushed and it moved everything back one day.
