Eric, Caps is finally done..:p
Took a long time to make..:embarrassed2:
And longer to Finish..:frown: ..
But,
Thanks for being patient...:)

Guys, Tons of work on this Cap Set..
If you can reverse engineer this one, you'll know how much machining and holding critical sizes, lengths and alignment was required..
Made with only a lathe and mill (And Index Dividing head) and they are not $$$$ precision machines.. Only hobby size..
Ivory Diamonds bought from our own Chris Hightower.. Thanks Chris.

Thanks Eric...

Thanks dirtypool40... Get ready, I gonna' wind you up!! LOL:grin: with more Caps to come..
Thanks emoney - Did you try to figure out the steps to make it?
Thanks HollyWood, The butt side alone is more that $200.00 + the cost of the Ivory Diamonds.. I don't tell the Collectors cost. I give them the respect and courtesy of privacy.. Sorry, no disrespect to you..

There are lots of stuff on the cap that, if you mis-machine a step, all the steps before that is no good and gotta start over.. Or, once I put on the end caps (That make the upper and lower black border for the connecting Hexagon Windows) I am commited to a fixed Centerline.. Anything over machined will ruin everything else before and would have to start over again, again.
If you can reverse engineer this, you can estamate the time and value of this cap.. If you can't.. You don't know the value of this cap.. Honest.. Remember, no CNC or Pantograph...

Thanks

Thanks for your replies fruehlein, King and Coco.
Thanks Chris H. - Thanks to you and your Diamonds...
Thanks AnitoKid.... Glad you like it..
Eric must be real busy. Maybe on a business Trip..
Wonder if his leg is better..
Poor Eric, earlier this year was his Back Surgery. Now his leg... And, they all affect his Pool game..:o

Did you guys try figure out how this cap was made on a Lathe and Mill?
Steve's Tim Scruggs and Myron's James White Caps will be another 2 caps that would be fun to Reverse-Engineer. Just to pick your Brain's on how I achieve the final outcome.. I do that often with things. Like Cues. How did the cuemaker achieved the final design on his/her cue...

how did i not see this thread, wow sorry.:embarrassed2:

they are great!!!! the cue they are going on is a late 80's earily 90'cue-probably late 80's. It isnt the nices hitting Tad I have played with but I still hit balls with it from time to time.

I agree with your sentiments Jon. In fact I am amazed that they are not offered on some very pricy cues by the makers. To me it is like a Ferrari without an emblem! Who'd want that!!
Dan

Thanks

Thanks tasaddicts, Jon P. Nusbaum, quedup..
I try my best to do make The Collectors proud..
Eric, I mailed out your caps.. Should reach you today or tomorrow..
