Favorite Pool Room Food...

Cue Club in Hillsboro Ohio
Richard will cook something special for Thursday and Sunday evening.
Pulled Pork
Brisket
Chicken
Ham
Turkey
Something different every week.
This week special is smoked steak, tender enough to melt in your mouth.
If you have a taste for smoked meat, this is it!

Picture this. An old timey poolroom with wood flooring, a bathroom that smells like who did it, what for, don't do it no more, a pin-ball machine, and no kitchen. Just snacks.
You buy an ice cold bottle of Pepsi (glass bottle mind you) and a small bag of Planters peanuts.
You chug about a third of the Pepsi, then pour the peanuts down the neck of the bottle.
You nurse on that while playing a game of Snooker with your pals.
Pure heaven.

cool recollection:cool:

..related to food in a bar/pool room..my most favorite food memory is of See-thru Canadian Bacon with cheese??? sandwiches heated up in door slammin Amana Radio wave micro oven....thing. Burnt my tongue more than once. Went good with pitchers of tomato beer.

Not my favorite food, but, my favorite sorta-food memory from this dive.

Some of the food that you guys have reported on, look, sound and no doubt taste great.

At one of the rooms I used to go to, there was a really good delivery sushi place that we always ordered from. So, yea, sushi is my favorite pool hall food.

Back in the day when Starcher's was still around, they had the best HOT buffalo wings on this planet.

By "hot",I mean if you can't handle Tabasco or Frank's Red Hot like it's Kool-Aid,don't bother. This stuff would send a lot of people to the ER.

The sauce I bought from there one time changed the color of the styrofoam cup it was in within 20 minutes.

I'd still be feeling the effects 2-3 hours after eating.

The food at JOB's is excellent too.

The best cheeseburger in Memphis is at High Pockets (got fried ravioli and a cheese plate too),and there is always Jack's Rib Shack right next door.

Gonna throw in a mention for the Q-Master Barry Burger too. Tommy D.

I remember going to Hermans in dothan al and always getting a couple of chili dogs and it has been 10 years since i had one but they set the standard in my mind what pool hall food should be. I hate pool halls that try to be restaurants. I always try to order a pizza at the brick YARD in Indianapolis. Btw if you go to play pool and your going to stop an get to something to eat before or after playing. BUY YOUR FOOD AT THE POOL HALL.. players who walk into a pool room with a bag of fast food are retarded. If all they got is a vending machine bring quarters.

where i play there is no way to even have a favorite food....much less want to wait for it's arrival. :nono:

Next thing you know, you're selling your wife and kids.

There is a lovely place in Beloit, Wisconsin called The Carom Room that is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Masters 8 ball champion, Dave Coles. The menu is loaded with a wide variety of tasty goodness and is capped with the best burger you will ever have. If you are as close as 100 miles away, make a b line to get The Snead. Trust me, this burger will make you want to abandon your house and sell your wife and kids. Yes... I said sell the family!

The Snead!!! Cheeseburger Patty w/ American Cheese, Lettuce, Mayo, & Tomato - Topped w/ Ham & American Cheese w/ Lettuce & Mayo on 3 Slices of Toast!
