1. Corey Deuel I fell in love with his game from the moment i watched him win the bca open. beating kim davenport and jose parica he became the champion and this ultimatley hooked me on playing pool

2. Earl "the pearl" Strickland ThE fluidity of his stroke and the overall power of his game draws my attention to this guy. His behavior, questionable at times, only signafice his heart and his character

3. Mike "captain hook" Sigel What is there to say he is a legend and an unbeliavable competitor.

4. Bobby Pickle This guy can really play and has such a unbeliavable tempo he makes the game look so easy and is super deadly on a bar box

5. Efren Reyes Like mike sigel a legend and an unbeliavable competitor The reason i like him so much is he is so damn smart and plays all games well

thats it these are my top 5 what is yours thanks

Mickey Mantle
Babe Ruth
Ted Williams
Bob Eucker
Pete Rose

Hmm...does someone seem oddly out of place in this list?
No offense to BP, I know first hand that he can play, but world champion material he is not.

Putting BP in is no worse than your putting Eucker with Mantle, Ruth, and Williams.

1) Earl Strickland. questionable behavior, but one cant deny his greatness at the table.

2) Allison Fisher. perhaps the greatest women's player of all time. great mechanics, total dominance, nuff said.

3) Efren Reyes. i personally dont hold him in as high esteem as the rest of the world, simply because how many world championships and U.S. Open championships does he have? however, perhaps the greatest cueist of all time.

4) Nick Varner. Hall of Fame, world championships, U.S. Open championships, many consider him to possibly be the best all around player ever. he lives 70 miles south of me, wish i could get a game with him. Chad? ya still pluggin' for me here?

5) Francisco Bustamante. some claim he is the best player on the planet. could be the most dominating player alive. once he captures, if ever, a World or U.S. Open championship he will join the all-time greats.

Honorable Mention:
Tom "Dr Cue" Rossman, Williebetmore, Wally In Cincy

just my $.02

Uh... that was the point of his post.

Fred

Efren Reyes, for his wizardry, his creativity and his innovation

Buddy Hall, for his wondrously precise pattern play

Ralf Souquet, for his techincal excellence and his huge heart

Earl Strickland, for his explosiveness and theatrics

Fong Pang Chao, for his killer instinct and general excellence

CURRENT PLAYERS:

Franciso Bustamante: Great player with technical expertise beyond description.

Efren Reyes: Aging eyes? Yeah right. Play him a little 1p and see how much his eyes are aging... he's still the "Magician".

Earl Strickland: One of the best shotmakers that ever walked up to a table.

John Schmidt: GREAT 14.1 player. I think we'll hear a lot more of him in the near future.

Buddy Hall: Possibly the best and smoothest stroke I've ever seen in pool.

PAST GREATS:

Ralph Greenleaf: Just check the record books and you'll know the reasons I revere Mr. Greenleaf

Mike Sigel: yeah, I know, out of retirement for the IBT, but can consider him past great because he's been out of the game for so long. Ever watch the 150 and out run he did on Mike Z? THAT will easily explain my placing him on the 2nd through 5th place on my Past Greats list.

Later,
Bob

favorites

1: Jeanette Lee : best female player I've ever seen play, and alot of fun also.

2: Johnny Archer : can't even explain his skill at this game

3: Mike Massey : nice shot-making skill & one heck of a stroke

4: angelina paglia : about time we get a good looking female pro besides Jeanette. unfortunately...never saw her play in person

5: Alex Paglia : nice to see a "little" man be very good at this game. he's not that tall, so there are some things he can't do well, but has the heart of a lion. (hence the nickname) he never gives up!!

1. willie mosconi: greatest pool player to ever live he had 15 world titles,a high run in straight pool of 526 do i need to put anything else!

Efren Reyes Nicest guy in pool, does things nobody else can, and plays more pool then anyone else either.
Nick Varner Great player, great person, nice to talk to.

So yeah my top five are all extremely nice people, But I think they shoot a pretty good stick too :D

Allison Fisher, favorite female player would be 6 on my list, don't know her, but certainly dominates the game and looks like she has the best mechanics, although it hurt my neck trying to duplicate her stance.

1. Hohmann: solid player, super focus.
2. Strickland: knows the table inside and out, but can't stand his complaining.
3. Yang: the best of the Taiwan players, excellent stroke.
4. Reyes, why does he always get sooo lucky.
5. Ga-Young-Kim, plays like the guys, still needs mental focus, excellent stroke.

1- Thomas Hohmann right now he is probably the guy to beat in the world, unbelievable in his technique and plays so un-emotional, that you never would know if he is shooting like shyt or not.

2- Efren Reyes Probably has the best all around game in the world

3- Johnny Archer His talent is just unreal

4- Willie Mosconi need i say more????

5- Corey Deuel Well he basically changed the rules of 9ball, so you cant softbreak, i dont know of anyone else who has been able to do that.
