I thought the case forum would be enhanced by a Fellini thread. Here are a few pics of a very clean original example. This tan lizard case was owned since new by Jim Rempe.

It is my hope that other examples of Mr. Hempel's work will follow this one.

I have the same exact case! Well, I think I do. I've had so many people offer to buy it in the pool room but I've decided to hold onto it. The only thing, I don't have the label like yours... hmm...

I would like to know more about the various leathers used for Fellini cases. Preferably with pics...

A knowledgeable member tells me this case is embossed. I would like to clear that question and have a better understanding of the rarity of this case and others like it.

Were there actual lizard, ostrich, elephant Fellini cases?

gian yes there were....they are rare but they did advertise to make them at an extra cost of course....i think tate has some ads with the info on his website....

the ad says real python,anaconda,and ostrich....95 extra for snake and 200 for ostrich....
