Felt Bar in Denver

Anyone ever been to the Felt Bar's free Monday tournament? I am in town for work, and I was thinking about checking it out. Anyone know if they get a decent turn-out?

They go there all the time, maybe to much. They will be able to let you know what the scoop is on the Felt Bar tourny. Hope this helps & remember to buy Ted a jack & coke & Bruce a bottle of water. GL in the tourny

more like a nightclub atmosphere, tables are a bit rough. Nice , though it's not really a player's room.

Not many players, for sure. Saw some guy named SVB, whatever that means, playing there for big wads of cash. But no, no players.

not true. recently replaced gold crowns with diamond pro am tables. monday night tourney is played on the bar tables. for a real tourney come on tuesday. big table 9-ball, there are some very strong players including the great Danny Medina, Marc Vidal, Mark Haddad, Melissa Little, "ATM" Andrew, and many others. There is often $500/set action in the room and you don't have to like it unless your name is "svb" or something.

What he said.There is also a bunch of old guys of various skill levels that like to play for fun.There is even one old guy that likes to play straight pool.
 
Was at Felt last night where ATM and some road player from Lousiana were playing $500 sets.

Well he did not need a ATM against me on Monday afternoon, infact he beet me pretty handily. Then we played Eienstein Nine for fun and I must say ATM really enjoyed this game. He played very well for his first time and even ran out once on me.

I had a great time on the new Diamonds and found a couple buyers for my mini cues. :D
