The red flag is readily apparent. Not that she was asking for a "spot" but more that she says she'll take "the 7 and out". What naive female comes up with that lingo?

Awww, come on, she's just playing whatever card she can. The I'm-a-girl card usually works pretty good in many different situations. I'll admit, I'm guilty of using it occassionally too

In the mid 80's I was playing some by myslelf and a bunch of girls came in the bar, they were playing on the bar boxes in the back, after a while one wandered into the front room and asked if I was playing anyone, we played some 8 ball and at one point she left the cue ball against the rail, she then took ball in hand, moved the cue ball forward and placed the butt of the cue against the rail and butted the cue ball against the butt of the cue, I was thinking to myself, "What the Hell" she then looked at me and said "Space".
I said Space? what? she said girls get to move the cue ball off the rail the width of the bottom of the cue stick.
Go figure
When I played at the Boy's Club we called that "cheeks" or "double cheeks" referring to the butt. Plus we would call 'spots' to move a ball out of the way. After a shot there would be a shouting war of either yelling no cheeks or no spots or cheeks and spots. Isn't that normal when you play? If you scratched you took out a ball. If you scratch and made a ball you took out 2 and then the CB had to be played from the spot.
We would also spin the 8 ball when lifting the rack.
Need to bring back the old rules and play like kids again.
