Hi.
I recently bought a small repair lathe for doing mostly ferrule/tips. But i just run into a little problem , probably because of my inexperience.
I work mostly on house cues and as you can imagine most of the ferrules are in poor shape , when i install tips i have to do the final cuts with a blade/knife , but sometimes i have to change a ferrule and i come up against mostly bad shafts wich are not perfectly round . When i try to install a ferrule on that kind of shaft the knife on the lathe cuts straight, but because the shaft is not perfectly round it doesn't cut perfect, sometimes it takes more from one side then the other.
I will try to get some pics if i can, i don't own a camera, i'll try with my phone.
Excuse my english, is not my native language.
Thanks.
