Fewest balls made to win a set?

I was in a 9 ball tourny Saturday and was playing to 6 in a 6-5 race. I won 6-3, but it was sort of a strange match.

For the entire match, I only made 15 balls.

Including a 9 on the break, I had to run out from the 5 once, the 7 once, the 8 twice and got BIH on the 9 once. I think I made 2 balls in the other games he won.

I felt like I stole one, but given the way I was playing, I was happy to take it. The pool gods got even in the next one. My opponent missed a 5 ball by a diamond, it went two rails and kicked in the hill-hill 9ball. You gotta love this game.

Anybody have any sets that went quicker than that?

The record for an opponent of mine is zero. I had to spot him four games in a race to seven. I did all of the work, and then missed the 9 ball once and left it in the hole, conceded the game. The next two games I made the 9 and scratched, and conceded the games. He didn't make a ball the entire set and won.

The fastest set I ever played was a race to 4...it was the first round of the tourney and against a friend that I travelled to the tourney with!

My friend won the flip and broke dry leaving a 1-9 combo. I made that combo, broke the 9, broke the 9 again, and finally broke making a single ball with a 9 ball combo hanging. That was a total of 5 balls in 4 games. The TD had hardly called all of the matches before I was back at his desk to report my win.
