Fight Night 20 November 8th-10th Danny Smith vs Justin Bergman

I can't speak for Danny but as far as i know the only two players on the planet that he might not jump on chance to play are Scott and Alex.

He has played in the last couple of years Darren Appleton,Chris Gentile,Josh Roberts,Chip Compton,Dennis Orcollo,Jeremy Jones,Joey Gray,Richie Richeson,John Schmidt,Tony Chohan and Shannon Daulton that's all i can think of at the moment i am sure it's lot more lol

One thing is for sure Danny loves action and the guy has tons of heart and gamble.

If Danny wants to be the best (or thinks that he is the best), and loves action, then why not play the very best, and that means anyone that is looking for action in 1 pocket. It is too bad that there are no players that are willing to play Alex even 1 pocket. I do not know, but maybe it is a money issue. Maybe Danny would play Alex if he could afford to play with his own money. I understand that when it comes to gambling, players want to know that they have a good chance of winning. Maybe there are not many true gamblers left in pool. The backers really do not want to gamble either, if they think the odds are not strongly in their favor.

So, if it was a Fight Night match, and nobody would consider playing the Champion (which would be Alex, after he beat Frost), then that means that Alex is still technically the Champion, right? Sorry, I am just being silly, but it seems to me that Alex still holds that title, if it was a Fight Night match.

Alex IS the best One Pocket player on Earth. He is the Champion of Champions. Anyone wishing to step up and play him please contact us.

Thanks,

Ray

He was born in 87

Fargo Rating has him at 744. In comparison. Donny Mills 733, Tony Robles 734, Jeremy Sossei 756, and Oscar Dominguez 767.

This demonstrates whats interesting about the Fargo list.... I'm guessing its based off of rotation 9/10 ball....

This shows Danny ranked above Donnie Mills..... I'm thinking that in rotation 9/10 ball, Donny is a big favorite in that match up.

T-rex and Danny both with a 743 fargo.

Why dont they play.

That would be an awesome match and they have both beat each other I. The finals of two different high stake one pocket tournys. I think they would of matched up of tony didn't lose to bustamante. That loss seemed to take all the wind out of him and I havnt heard much since that loss. But it was super close and a good match and I believe tony didn't play his best so I agree Tony T-Rex Chohan vs Danny the Shredder Smith would be a great matchup.

But tonight we should have a great match up smith vs Bergman and I'm a huge Bergman fan but havnt seen much of his one pocket game so I'm excited to see him grind this match out

I'm certainly not sure... but I thought that T-Rex was ahead in his matches with Danny?

Danny is doing very well in these matches, but he is steering clear of the top tier players....

He steered right into a top tier player this time.... For some crazy reason, Justin is almost always seen as the underdog.... and ALMOST NEVER loses for the money.... and then after he wins... people still think he is the underdog next time...

I mean he destroyed Jason Shaw at 10 ball in a long race and got very little props....

Beat Oscar pretty badly at 10 ball.... very little props......

This isn't to say that Danny can't win, his high gear in one pocket is terrifying.

What I think will be interesting with this match will be the pace at which they play. Justin is a very deliberate (almost slow) player, and I believe Danny plays quicker and more loose.

Should be great to watch!

I'm not sure if there record all I was saying is that Danny beat Tony in the finals then the next big tournament they met in the finals Tony beat Danny. And they were both equally high staked prizes so it speaks volumes to the fact they both can beat each other

I'm pretty sure they have played some high dollar non tournament matches in the not so distant past and that Cohan is ahead in that endeavor.

But they can both definitely win in that game.
