I bet if they gave the fans that watch the tour a vote, they would vote to get rid of the single elim. I thought the ieda was to get more fans to watch...not lose the old ones? Johnnyt

How does the WPBA vote on things like this? Do the players get to vote on it? Johnnyt

I believe the greater objective of the WPBA was to increase the likelihood that new faces would make it to the TV rounds, and this is something that they actually have accomplished since the inception of this format.

FYI, this format has long been the format of the WPA Women's World Championships, but, just like you, I don't like this format and know many other fans that don't like it. I don't know of any fan that has been lost due to the format change.

I know why they did it. To keep Allision and Karen from winning all the time AND new faces on TV. I just think it's a cold way to treat them. Johnnyt
