Thanks for the help, you are all in trouble now since I'm sure it was the only thing stopping me from going pro![]()
I'm sure you're correct. I'll be looking for your name on the marquee!

I recently got back into playing after a while and have consumed all the instructional materials I can find, I am practicing often, and waiting on my new Diamond table to be delivered in a few weeks
I realized today that the one thing holding me back is obvious! I don't have a pool nickname...
So , give me a nickname so I can move on to world pool domination, I promise I'll credit you during my HOF induction.
Some info to help:
I'm 42 years old, born in Baltimore. 6ft tall and slender with thinning hair and a greying goatee but still look a few years younger than my age. I spent 8 years in the Air Force in the 90's, and I now work from home doing software engineering & management for Cisco. At my best I was probably playing at a B level, currently I'm playing at low C. My favorite foods are cheeseburgers and steamed crabs. I also enjoy playing video games and guitar.
Thanks for all the contributions, fun thread.
I'm going to stick with Willy Cornbread as long as it doesn't sound like I am comparing myself to Red. Someone called me that in like 9th grade once (was eating cornbread in math class) and I then used it when I started needing usernames.

Did you say Air Force?
Off he goes looking for nine ball action,
Driving fast to the pool hall
Here he comes walkin' to a Diamond table
No Gold Crowns for this Baltimore son
Down he goes, prepping to smash the cue ball
He cracks them hard, so says the gun
The nine falls in and he wins again. Hey!
Nothin' kills Binary Bill cept Alt-F4!
Best I can do.

A friend of mine from Baltimore thinks it should be "Old Bay."
What about something that incorporates the nickname of Baltimore itself "Charm City"?
So your name WAS bestowed on you.....it'll do just fine.
