Would love to get some feedback.

I'll try to get some time to look today.

388 mb for 8 minutes!!! Damn! Marop has 20-25 minute videos less than 100mb. Talk to him about how to get them smaller.

:56 in I was thinking that you didn't really need to break the 7 and 8 cuz they went, but everything open. Nice enough end of rack pattern. Got a little close to the eight and had to hit that one in the side and back but got good.

3:05 Break shot. Cue died on you.

3:30 nice draw. Where were you going?

Nice recovery shot.

4:24 heckuva shot. everything open now. no break shot that I can see. Bump the balls on the rail and now have the side rail break shot.

6:25 just hit the rack after coming off the bottom rail.

7:50 broke them but left with a tough shot again.

8:27 nice draw to break them almost scratched but ok.

Tough miss on the last one.

Keep them coming.

Charlie,

You need to have someone show you how to play straight pool. I don't mean this as a put down. You are playing "9 ball" straight pool. Straight is a much different game. You move the cb too much and it looks like you have no concept of pattern play.

I would spend some time talking to Danny Barouty or Tony Robles. They can teach you the basics of how to play the game.

While my first reaction is to tell you to go jump in a lake and use a whole bunch of other expletives that cant be said on here. You are correct and i have been recently made aware of that by Stevekur. Its funny once i was told however I ran a nice 25 against him and have really tried to calm my stroke down. Its so funny that you both called it nine ball straight pool though. I thank you for the insight and while i get mad its only at myself lol lol lol im happy to be learning though and i cant wait to learn more as i go. I am still relatively new to the game and have been really putting my hours in.

Like I said, it's not to bash you, but to give you constructive criticism.

You should talk to someone that knows how to play the game right away. don't wait. You don't want to waste time practicing bad habits. 14.1 is the opposite of 9 ball, in ways. You want to look for patterns that connect you to the next balls. You have at least 3 parts to the rack; beginning, middle and end patterns, all of which have a strategy and purpose. Your end pattern should involve minimal cb movement and ideally, stop shots.

If you want a good foundation to build your 14.1 game on, you really should go see Danny or Tony.

that side pocket break shot was great! every time i try that something bad happens to me. you open the balls up really well and your ball pocketing in general looked really clean

how big were the pockets. the shot you missed it looked like you really juiced the cue ball up and i didn't think it needed that much on it.

Thank you for the kind words on pocketing i was really mad i missed in all honesty i had just come off that draw break shot and i was happy to have fallen where i had gotten with a shot. I had a lot of juice on the one ball and you are right i should have just played a normal shot.

Ha! i choked on my soda when i saw the cueball going toward that corner. it's crazy but i felt relived when you didn't scratch

What made the run even better was the fact that after i missed the shot as i was going back to sit down my buddy steve looked at me and was like damn i think we ran out of tape lol lol
