Finish on G10 Material

Question:

Does anyone have any experience with using G10 material for a joint collar and can G10 accept epoxy or clear coat as a coating.

I have a customer that wants a G10 joint collar and I have no experience with this material with reference to putting a finish on it.

Any shared experience would be appreciated.

I am sure epoxy will stick to it because pins are epoxied in but still need to ask the question as a thin substrate coating and long term results.

Darrin Hill (Hills Cues) recently made himself a full spliced player with a G10 joint collar and it looks fantastic with a finish. He uses a 2 part epoxy then sands for automotive clear.

G10 (FR4 to those in the electronics biz) IS epoxy btw.
