Hi,

I have a McDaniel cue with leather wrap. I wanted to clean the cue a bit today after a long session. I usually use a paper towel with a bit of alcohol on other cues. So I did the same with this one..... As soon as I went over the wrap as well (what was I thinking...) the towel went totally black as I removed some kind of finish off the leather...

Did I damaged the wrap? should I apply something to the wrap to protect it?
The leather looks and feel fine but I want to make sure that there is no immediate or long term damage to the wrap/cue.

Thanks for any suggestion.

WOW I feel so stupid.... :sorry:

Use the black liquid leather dye made for shoes and use clear neutral liquid polish over it.

You have just learned how to remove leather dye from your hands etc.... as well has how to remove the dye from leather.
