Getting ready to apply a seal coat over irish linen and was wondering if there are some tips that I need to know before I continue. This is the
first time attempting this. First coat was going to be 20 min finish cure.
Thanx for all input.

I press the wrap, then sand & press it a 2nd time. Then I use ELMERS white glue for my 1st coat, then put my final coats over that...JER

I have not used 20 minute finish cure to do it, but 5 minute epoxy works fine for the first coat. The reason 5 minute works is that it is thick and forces the linen fuzz to lay down. When I went with full wet coats they allowed the linen to fuzz up and required much more sanding and additional coats to get to the point one coat of 5 minute gave.

chris, youre right about that
1st time i did one i had fuzzys that drove me crazy
so i used the 20 minute and used my press,
squeezing the juice into the wrap
worked out real well
although the cleanup wasnt much fun :D

Sorry cm's I didn't state that I am refinishing a cue that the wrap is already
installed. I have sanded the forearm, original wrap and butt sleeve down to
original finish. Should I still use the 5min or will 20 min do what I need to
refinish the cue? thanx
