You are correct, there are a couple of Grady shooting and a couple of Jimmy Mataya shooting and shooting the breeze with Jimmy Reid. I was mistaken in saying that Jimmy Marino was in the slide show. As for Sigel, he may have looked bad with that beard, but many in the pool world would say he looks even worse these days.TATE said:I thought I saw Grady and Jimmy Mataya too. Sigel looks awful with a beard.

Colin, I could add captions, but when I did that, I didn't like the way it looked. I could add naration and maybe use that to name the players and give a story line. Might try it. Anyway, you are more than welcome to use the slide show however you want. I can put it on a CD and send it to you if you give me a mailing address. Or maybe I can upload it to you somehow.Colin Colenso said:Looks great Bill!
A heck of a lot more fun than clicking through a gallery and waiting for each to load.
A little work with names next to players and some storyline for some pics would make it not just a great viewing piece, but a real piece of pool history.
I've got a section on my website (see below) for legends. I'd love to embed this and other similar videos so people can reminisce, study some history or just put some faces to some old tales.

Black Cat, you can check our gallery of pool photos to see the names of everyone in the slide show. Here's the link for our gallery of images from the 1982 Dayton Open 9-ball tournament: http://billporter.smugmug.com/gallery/1606933Black Cat 5791 said:Great peice of work, being a photographer myself I can definately appreciate the body of work as a whole great job.
Being a person who has read alot, or as much as possible about the game I do have a strong desire to know the faces that many of the names I've read actually belong to so in those terms I'd like to know for sure who's who and not speculate, I think I picked out Grady & Allen, the rest I'm not sure.
Keep it coming I'd definately like to see more.
