First League game tonight

OK, here's what you do:
Get there like exactly on time, almost late. Order 2 of your favorite cocktail and slam one tkae the full one back to the table an odrer toO morE
SaLM Aniotheeer and TAake the othe fuel 1 back at table,
Smal boff thems ones And apPoraCH the BAD GuYS Wittth MY Q, I MANE your CUUU adn AX to PLAY now. Buffurst, Gety MORe sumthing form El Baro AN Drenk um up! BAk to the Polo talbe and PALuy your best, NoW ur reddie!

Try to relax, it supposed to be fun. Every team has a clown, they help relieve tension. Have a beer, bring a towel. My guess is that by your second or third shot the table will feel like home and you'll be comfortable, and lose the hand panty. I play pool with a couple of girls that tell me there's nothing like the feel of wood in you hands

That is Funny!

Loren, relax. You have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself.

50% of the people in your league will win tonight and 50% will lose.
It doesn't matter which 50% your in, as long as you enjoy yourself and learn something about the game.

My guess is your team didn't ask you to play because of your skill level (good or bad), they asked you to play because they like you and enjoy your company.

Enjoy yourself tonight and let us know how it went.

Hope it helps,
-Jeremy

JuicyGirl...By now you have either played your match, or are likely playing now. Hopefully your first league night was fun, and that you enjoyed yourself, regardless of the outcome. Like someone else said, everybody wins and loses...in the end it's only a game. :D

Hey Girl, DO NOT STRESS out over league pool in fact look on it as a chance to show the other players what you got! Nothing better than showing off some talent. That is how I approach pool in general get out there and get their attention, stay focused, stay down on your shots and do the very best you can. If you play someone much better than you pay attention to everything they do you'll learn a lot that way. The best thing is after league play is over you can play for fun with others and learn some more.. Pay attention & ENJOY!

It was nice to meet everyone there. I know a couple of the people on the team. But, once I got there Ron said Lori can't quit until after cities. Which isn't going to happen till the second week of June. :( I was bummed. But some of our friends met up with us at the Bulls Club and convinced us to drive to Peabodys. There we met the other league who we are friends with. They asked me to join and, said I could start next week, I just don't go to cities.

I was bummed that I couldn't play in the tournament. Then I was relieved that I wouldn't have to see my little 4 year old boy give me sad eyes because, I'm going out on a date with Dad. And later I was excited again that other team wants me to join them too. But now I'm confused cuz I told Ron I'd join his league, but they don't start till June. Anyways both are APA. We are friends with everyone so it's all good in the end.

You'll be fine!! Naturally there is going to be some nerves, like you are feeling now. The way I used to handle that was to remember that there are always worse things to be nervous about!

When you get up there to play, know that the match is between you and your opponent, try to ignore everyone else. Make sure you remember to breathe, and have fun!
