First post - New Table and thanks to the forum

I presume they are associated with jay Spielberg?

Might not be a better table mechanic in the country. If he sends a crew and doesn't come with them, they are good too.

Great choice.

Nice table Josh. How do you heat and cool your garage? And remember, the only way you are going to become an outstanding player is to work at it!

I lived above a three car garage for 14 years and 3 weeks. I finally had one of my garage stahls converted over into a room and put my new Gold Crown IV in there.

Welcome OP and nice table. What's that giant shovel for? Around here it might be used for cleaning horse stalls or something. Ya'll have stables?

Again welcome to the forums.

The more I look at this table, the more I like it.

Yes, Josh Lee is one of Jay's mechanics and was top notch himself. Jay couldn't make the trip as he was waiting to receive a shipment of Diamonds.

It's a snow shovel, but it was doing double duty as a dust pan while cleaning up the garage.

I have a mobile home furnace for heat, no cooling yet. Need to replace the windows and a buddy has a 5K BTU window AC unit he is going to give me. He replaced two of the 5K units he used in his house with one larger unit.

Congratulations new table!!! Make sure to put a radio in there lol.

Got the rest of my pieces to extend the internet to the garage and add Chromecast audio to the old HiFi cabinet. The folks at Best Buy recommended the Chromecast audio over a bluetooth receiver, said much better sound quality and pricing essentially the same.

Contractor is here starting the shed, should be able to get the rest of the crap out of the garage in the next couple weeks.

Nice table, I like it. Tex- some shovel snow, some shovel poo, some shovel money- take your pick

Schweet Table

Welcome and thanks for pics of your cool freshly redone table. I really want a 9' table bad just no where to place it. You are fortunate with that garage. Look forward to seeing pics when you have it all 'roomed' up.

Best rolls,

-Kat,

I get about the same amount of Texas snow as money, so I guess I'm left shoveling poo. If poo was money, I'd be able to move where the snow is. ☺

Well, that 1/2 hour wireless extender project turned into a 5 hour nightmare, but I finally figured it out.

With the way my network is set up, it was much easier to put this between the modem and router, and I didn't care because I didn't want to extend my current network, I wanted an add on network so everyone and their brother didn't have the password to my home network.

After fighting with this thing for hours and searching Google I finally came across some information not provided in the instructions. The instructions show the "preferred" setup with the base after the router, but did not mention that this HAD to be done, the base for the extender does not have the ability to assign IP addresses and apparently that was my problem the whole time.

So, I temporarily have the base running on an extension cord and laying on the floor under my TV stand. When we replace the house TV and take the current one to the garage I will be able to re-organize and get this thing tucked in where it should be without extension cords.

My friends and I are just bangers, some a little better than others. If I get much better at this game I might be in danger of pocketing a couple balls every now and then.

One of my buddies that plays with us knows Liz Ford, maybe he can get her to come over and give us some pointers.

I'm almost done. Since these pictures were taken I've replaced the broken glass in one window with some thick lexan and the other with foam insulation as temporary fixes. Motor and tool box are out of the garage. Going to put in new windows next spring. Furnace is hooked up and running and I've cleaned up under the TV by adding a shelf for the Dish tuner, PS3 & Wii.

Plans to come - Replace garage door by the table by framing in and adding a 36" man door, replace the windows, re-do insulation from last collar tie to back wall going all the way to the peak and adding a 14" exhaust fan near the peak, it gets pretty smokey with 7 or 8 of us in there.

We've been playing all winter and people are really liking the set up. We've had as many as 14 players on a Friday night, when it gets that busy we switch to 3 ball, 50 cent buy in.

None of us are great players, some better than others and we all have our moments of greatness. We highly encourage razzing and shit talk, which I am sure more serious players would hate. One of the biggest things you can do to get really beat up verbally is grab the bridge. It's great fun on a 9ft table watching some of the creativity people use to avoid grabbing the bridge.

Here is the first guy to use it, the photo will be printed, framed and hung up in the garage sometime soon.

Photo of the pup (Annie Oakley, but we just call her Annie) enjoying the heat from the furnace.

And, apparently I am so obsessed with this table now I felt the need to buy a new truck in an almost matching orange color (Inferno in Toyota speak). Photo before I picked it up.
