This year i went to the SBE for the first time with 3 of my friends from my pool team. We got there Friday morning at open and stayed untill Sunday. I had a great time, my friends and I are already planing a trip back for next year. Friday we took as much in as possible. I got to see some amazing cues. I got a chance to see a few Black Boars! I knew going into this trip i wanted to look for a new cue. So on Friday i tried to hit with as many cues as i could. Saturday we got vip seats in the pro arena for the morning session. The first match right infront of out seats was Earl Strickland coming back down 6-1 in a race to 9...he won eight games in a row. After that SVB played right in front of us and on the table next to us was Corey Duel and Dennis hatch, that was a great match also. After that I continued my search for a new custom cue with the help of my friends. After all my searching i found a full splice four point four veneer Blackcreek 09 with an ivory joint and butt cap. That was it my search was over. Needless to say i bought the cue. Sunday we walked by the Mezz/ Runout Media booth and saw Florian Kohler and Mike Massey doing trick shots together. It was amazing!!! I left the expo doing everything i wanted and seeing top pros in a great competition. Hats off to Allan Hopkins and everyone else who put the expo together. I cant wait to go back next year.
