My friend has gotten a hold of a Fischer 8 footer..... He is looking into recovering the table. It needs new pockets. It is drop pockets....... and definately new rails!!!

What we are curious about is can it use the K55 or K66 rails?? whatever one is better we are gona go with...... Also We arent real sure about the slate as of yet but we are sure it is 3peice..

We dont actually know jack about this table but it was only $300 bucks from a mutual friend of ours who doesnt play anymore..

Here are some pics I have of it:

Here is what he wrote me in a email bout some stuff he got on hte table:

Here is the measurements I took, total from seam to seam 91" length , total from inside to inside is 88" length from head rail to foot rail. The width of the table from seam to seam is 47 1/2" across and inside to inside across is 44" across. The height of the rails from slate to top of rail is 1 3/4" and width from edge to seam is 1 5/8". If you find anything out, lemme know. Thanks man.

Does anyone have any kind of information about this table or this kind of table.. Any and all info would be much helpful!!!

Oh and trust me........We are burning that red felt when we pull it off and we will cover in the great Tournament Blue!!!!!!

That is definitely a 1 piece slate table. Old school Fischers are also the biggest pain in the ass to work on. Not bad tables just a huge asshole, as for the rails. Take the bumpers off and measure them.

I feel the same way as Chris about this table. Keep in mind it will take you about $500 to get cushions and cloth on this table.

oh yea we are aware of hte cost issues but it isnt coming from my pocket nor is it really my table..... jsut looking out for a friend. Thanks

I'm gonna agree with these guys on this one. If you're doing the work yourself, be VERY careful when you pull the old rubber of the rails. Those tend to get dry-rotted. I think the glue they used on the rubber holds better than most of the wood. ;) Good luck!

K66 cushions, remove the metal side trim, loosen the bolts, turn the bar clamps and the top rail caps come right straight up and off. The question is are they feather stripped or wooden blocks like the fisher coin-op tables.

Doth my eyes deceive me or is that a coin op?

Ok, don't think I've ever heard of them making a barbox, but nobody even taking the bait to tell me about it?
Surely some mechanic somewhere on here had something to say......
Have fun with it barbox, slates no big deal, the rails could have used some better designwork, and should take a k66. At least I don't think I ever seen anything different on them.
Have fun-
