Five point cues: Let's see them!

Anybody have an odd duck out there that they would like to share?

I like five pointers because they are something a little bit different than the norm. I haven't been able to find a tread dedicated to this type of cue, So I'd thought I'd post one up for what it's worth.

Thanks!

The design symetry might be a challenge but it would be interesting to see how such a design would look.

If the cue had points & veneers, I imagine the 5 point cue would look the like a 4 pt cue design but the points would be slightly larger
on a 4 pt design. In contrast, I envision with a 6 pt design, it would be slightly smaller than with the identical design on a 5 point cue.

Frankly, I am more curious how a 3 point design with many multiple veneers * inlays would turn out. With a 3 pt cue design, the added
space in the Forearm would enable the design to use 6 -7 veneers and wider veneers. I think the net effect would be result in bold veneers
that are much more striking than with a 4 pt or 6 pt design.

Anyone got any 5 pt cue designs to show off?

5 pointers

Couple of reverse Gilbert "twins"....brazilian rosewood and bem....then a madagascar rosewood into bem.

I love Andy's 5-point geometry. :)

Do a search for cues made by Wes Hunter. Also known as Hunter Classics. He often uses the 5 point design and he makes an awesome cue. I have one with tiger maple points into Brazilian rosewood but no pics of it at the moment.

Jamie...you're friggin' amazing.

I thought the other day I was quick to post my Winch. '94 in response to jay's post.

But you're like a cue genie that has to live inside a lamp when not on the Forum.

I mention a 3 point design and you produce this "Saber" of a cue....what a weapon.

Look at the length of the bridged red veneers and that scrimshaw between the points
and the GD butt-sleeve with boxed veneers....dot dash ivory rings are so subtle against
the ebony...... what a beautiful cue.

This is why I know you're not a real person and are indeed a genie of sorts. With 4 1/2 hrs.
of my post you whip this 3 point cue out....and not just any ole 3 point cue I might add.
Is there anyone on the Forum that thinks this 3 point cue is ...ordinary looking?

Wow......and to think that you probably also took time off for some lunch within that same
time span....Well, you just continue to amaze and dazzle with feats of "Cueness" (new term
I've coined for you). You're an expert in cueness; it sounds corny but give it time to grow on you.

p.s. Anyone still remember Morse Code? What would it look like to spell your name in Morse Code?

Well, we have at least five five point cues posted!

I saw one that DZ did, and thought it was pretty cool. I'll dig around for pics.
