FL Spirit Tour at Capones

Laura was born and raised (in the county of Dade), where did you get Canada?... She's playing good. This win gets her invited to all of the WPBA events for '08.
All the broads are welcome to come on down south and play some.

Congrats Laura... And congrats to Jeanie.

Laura is a pretty sporty player. Doesn't mind betting it up either form what I have been told. I met her at the FL PRO tour in Melbourne. She is a hoot!! Good win for her.

Laura was my first match on Saturday. I warmed her up good as she trounced me 7-1. LOL!
I also drew her first in the tournament last month. Laura is a great player!!! She has been playing on the tour since she was 14. She won the Florida State Championship in Bradenton 1998 and has been a formidable opponent for a very long time.
Congtratulations Laura! We're so happy for you!

I forgot to mention that the Spirit Tour paid out ALL the places! There was $4000 added to the grand finale...the most money added to ANY regional tour event ever!! No wonder the pros want to play with us!
Thanks to Rocky for his generous support for women's pool. Thanks to the sponsors for their donations and last but, certainly not least a huge thank you to Heather and Roberta who have done a wonderful job with the Ladies Spirit tour. I for one am truly glad to have a place to play competitive pool!

Tracey,
There is another little Lindauer coming up right behind her! Laura's younger sister was watching me pocket balls for hours on Saturday - watching everything I was doing... I saw her shoot for a little bit yesterday morning, and she's a pretty good player - I heard that she will be playing on the Ladies Spirit Tour next year! Watch out!

I don't know where I got Canada from. Someone told me she was from Canada the first time she won or I read it or heard it wrong. Congrats go out to Florida Laura on a nice win. Johnnyt

unless there was a calcutta on top of the $1050, your sources are incorrect. my information came from the tournament coordinators themselves.

And he was there reading it to me as we spoke-I see you are correct though-I wonder wtf he he was reading?

How does this win get her invites to all WPBA events next year?

I don't want to take away from the tour, but believe that at least one other regional women's tour has added as much in the past. Also, the professionals players have not been eligible to play on other regional tours for quite some time.

maybe that was the problem, the tournament coordinators are female - Heather Barkley and Roberta Case run the tour.

I know, her name is Gwen. Her brother Seth and her both entered my Junior Nationals Qualifier at the Golden Cue in May. Gwen was the only participant in her age group so she automatically got to play in the Junior Nationals. Her brother came in second in his division of the qualifier. The Lindauer family is a poolplaying family and I expect both Gwen and Seth will be great players, just like their big sis Laura.
I joked with daddy Bruce about buying the Golden Cue and putting all the poolplayers to work in the poolroom....

The J. Pechauer NorthEast Women's Tour held a NJ State Championship with $4000 added in July. Granted, $500 had to go to pay for the US Open Qualifer, but the $3500 was added to the prize fund, which totaled $5055.

Karen Corr took home $1700 for first place.

The room manager took a full $10 in greens fees.
