This event takes place in my back yard, Capones will host it.
There are going to be some great players making there way to this event which is also a $15,000 added event.
I will be bringing some live coverage from my site through out the day so stay tuned for the latest reports and pictures.

Hey,
I was wondering if Grossman was there? How is Donie Runk playing, good I hope?

Great coverage, Tony, on your website. Thanks for sharing. :)

Sorry to read about your loss to Dennis a/k/a The Hatchet. :(

However, you fought a valient duel to the finish. Must have been exciting! :p

You lucky Floridians do have a mighty nice tournament trail! :)

Cmon Tony, it's 1:30 p.m. Sunday and no updates. Who's left on the winner's side and who on the one loss side. How many players left ? How late will they be playing ? I hear there's talk of BIG action and BIG 'spots' being bandied about.

Doug you should just ride over there (or does momma have you on a leash this weekend? :))

I would have played but wasn't going to pay the $450, that's why there is only 50+ players. I missed the first few from being in the hospital, then Ditoro won't have any events during the summer because "it's too hot", and the last three events being down in Cuba (Miami where not many travel to).....so I didn't make any events this year to qualify.

But I imagine there are a bunch of games going when a table is available. Capones is a good venue for the event.

No leash, but we usually watch football and bet on the games on Sunday. I forgot that today was her company Christmas party, or I probably would have gone to Capones (I may still drive up a little later).
On the Winners side, you have Corey Deuel, Troy Frank, Earl Strickland and Rob Saez. On the one loss side you have about 8 players remaining, including Richie Orem, Dennis Hatch (ahead 6-1), David Grossman, Rodney Morris and Hennessy from Tennessee...

Donnie finished in 17th place, his highlight is beating Charlie Williams along the way. His game is definitely coming along, his attitude is improving and with the experience he is gaining his game is coming along nicely.

Next year he plans on playing all of the Florida Pro Tour events.

I like your web site and thanks for the great tournament coverage. I don't know if another state can compare to the level of talent that's in Florida. I had a chance to see Rob Saez play Rudolfo Luat on the feature table at this years US Open and i'd heard about him before, but I didn't realize how good he really is. I'm not surprised at all that he won the Florida State Championship.
