Flowers Style Case Update

Hello Everyone

I need to give you all an update on the Flowers cases you ordered. Last week was a Chinese holiday and so we lost most of the week. I was not satisfied with the first two prototypes and made several changes. You all know what a nit picky person I am so it's take a week longer to get the case done exactly as I wanted it.

As of today the cases will be finished at the rate of 1 per day. I have had 18 paid orders and 4 more orders that are as yet unpaid.

Those of you who have not paid me it's no big deal if you don't want the case when it's done. I just won't inscribe your name along with the serial number of the case.

Each Flowers case will have a serial number stating the year and production number. IBA's case for example is 2008-001. So any cases which are made to order but not personalized with a name tooled onto it will be up for sale if not paid for by the time they are completed.

Sorry for the delay. Because I started accepting orders beyond the original setup (that being only two colors and one interior style) I decided to go all the way and really make this case much more than Jay Flowers did.

We now offer two types of interior - tubes in the Instroke style and a more padded version of the Prolite style. In addition I have decided to make the handle attach with a loop through a ring on one side and still be detachable via a snap. We have redesigned the handles and straps to have a better appearance and be stronger. And each case come's with a maker's mark bearing the brand and serial number on it. Every single case will be numbered as it's made, uniquely identifying it for all time.

In addition to the things I outlined above I expanded the color choices to over twenty colors and opened the choice of sizes to whatever the customer wants.

So it's fairly ambitious to launch a project like this based on two prototypes. The idea has been with me for a long time and I guess if I didn't do it now then I probably never would. I hope that those of you who ordered can bear with me for a few more days as we begin to deliver the cases this week. If anyone wants to drop out then feel free to email me for a complete refund. Otherwise I think you find the resulting case will be well worth the wait. Also - IF anyone is not happy for any reason with the case they receive then I will give a full refund or make a new case - your choice.

Thanks everyone for reading this - I will update the thread with pictures of finished cases (without revealing who bought them) as they are done.

John

Thanks for the update, John. I have no problem waiting if it means having the perfectionist in you come out =)

And this is not the interior of the case shown but is the new
Ultra Padded Pro Light interior. All kinds of cushy goodness here.

More to come as they get done.

Beautiful case John, thanks. I can't wait to get it. Yes, that one is mine... sweet.

I have to spread reputation around before I can give it again, not fair in this case because you deserve it.

Nice stuff again, J! I missed these on the first thread. How much are these going for? Is it too late to get in?

All questions about these cases can be answered here.

It's really too late to get the introductory price on the case. Thank you to those who have contacted me about getting one at that price now but I need to focus on those orders I have and get them satisfied.

In a month or so the cases will be on sale through Sterling Gaming with the option to custom order using a variety of options.

If you are a dealer then I suggest that you contact Sterling and set up an account, get on their mailing list, especially the email one, so that you get notified when the cases are available. Based on early responses I expect that the first several hundred will go fairly quickly to dealers across the country.

great looking cases, john. can you tell me what number i'll be getting? also, would it delay things if i asked for the cushy prolite interior vs. the tube style? i'm happy with either interior, so it's not a big deal either way.

You are number 2008-005 and we can change your interior to the prolight version.

Someone help me come up with a different name for this interior. I am sure Jack isn't happy with me calling it a prolight and in fact it's a lot different. I started calling it this because people asked me for it by that name. So any help is appreciated.

How about this for a name of the soft interior.....HUG-LITE....?

As it is more padded and hugs the cues whilst being lighter than the tubes.

Any other ideas?

Can't wait for mine to arrive.

Maybe Soft-Grip or Grip-lite or Lite-n-Tite

john, thanks for the info and the flexibility.as far as naming the interior, how about simply the "soft interior" and the " tube interior"

Your avatar sure shows off plenty of padding.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
