Folding the Table Cover

Any suggestions on how to fold the table cover during use?

I am finding that my method of rolling my table cover during play is not so hot. I roll it like a carpet, from one end down to the other. Then hang it over the back of a chair or something similar.

The problem is that any junk that gets picked up by cover, then gets rolled on to my cloth.

It picks up anything that was on the top of the cover and some gets stuck and placed on table.

Hope that's a good enough description. I'd like to hear what others methods are to avoid this nuisance.

Thanks.

I fold it in half from one end to the other then fold it in half and fold once more. Then lay it in one of the spectator chairs.

Fold it length wise 3 folds. Then fold it 4 folds so that the bottom or the cover is on the inside. That way anything you get on it will not get on your table. If it gets dirty, just wipe it off before putting it back on the table.

1) Grab the cover at the head rail.

2) Lift and pull the cover down 2/3rds (which makes that 2/3rds bottom side up) so that 1/3rd of the cover is hanging over the foot rail.

3) That 1/3rd hanging off the foot rail, lift that back over the table, so that now the top side is up, and the cover is folded in 3rds.

4) Lift the cover off the table by grabbing the center of the cover. One hand where the foot spot is, the other hand where the center diamond on the foot spot is.

If done correctly, the cover has now been folded in 6ths (if that makes sense), and the top of the cover (from step 3) should be on the 'outside' of that folded cover.

Now you can lay that folded cover just about anywhere, and the top of the cover will take the abuse.

Installation is the reverse of removal. Making putting the cover back on that much easier.

Same here. (The room I play recovered the table I like to play on and has it covered when not it use.)

I don't have my own table, but I have quite a number of friends who do. One of them has two cats who like to sit on the table when it's covered. When I remove the cover at his house, I always gently brush off (or preferably vacuum) the cover before removing, otherwise a little kitty hair always gets on the table.

I gently fold it down to 3' X 3', the same way every time.

Small brain cannot comprehend.

I say just grab it in the middle, pile it up in a ball, and shove it under the table. Then, when it doesn't unfold correctly, there's a reason.

From each end of the table....fold the cloth to the middle length-wise...
...now fold it length-wise again...it is now about 2.5 feet wide.
...now fold it from the end about every two feet.
You now have a parcel roughly 2.5 feet square.....easy to store on a clean surface.

Reverse the process to recover the table....the top of the cover that collects dust and
cat hairs, etc....never touches the cloth of the table.

Lengthways fold each side to the middle, then fold that in half lengthways, this leaves the cover about 14" wide and table length, now fold it about 18" (?) five or so times.
The cover is now about 14 by 18" and most of the cover is table side touching table side and topside touching topside, not transfering dirt, dust, lent and that micro glittery stuff from top of the cover to table side of the cover.
