G’day everyone,

I’ve recently got back into pool after finding a league in Australia that plays each week on bar tables with 2 1/4 inch balls.

As I am a below average player (play off 7.5, masters play off 25), I’d like to try and get to a stage where i can break and run on a regular basis. At the moment I haven’t been able to B&R in 8 years. Decent coaching is hard to come by over here. A lot needs work i.e Stance, grip, stroke etc

I'll hopefully have a 7 footer set up at home to practice on in the near future. What can I film to be able get advice from the good people of AZB? Just rack em up and do my best to run the rack? straight pool? drills?

Is advice for below average players hard to give via text over the internet?

I'm probably not the one to give you advice on here, as there are probably many more well equipped. I would say though that if you need help on everything, that anything would help.

However, I am only posting to tell you that I love your signiture. Great pool one liner.

G'day Mate! This site is not just a bunch of forums, there's all kinds of instructional material available as well as a forum dedicated strictly to instruction, as Bob just said. Take some time and wander around and discover what's here for you. Also, Dr. Dave is here and there's lots to learn from him (if you wander around you'll find him). Play with better players, watch closely and ask questions (if they're open to it), and do what they do. Do they move their head when they stroke the c-ball? Do you? Enjoy!
:D
