For pure feel, which wrap is best between Wild Stallion, Bison, Spanish Bull or Shrunken Goat?

Walking into a bar room to play...I hate carrying a case...it is just annoying............ and even more hate banging my cue on something which (always) happens in bar room settings........Channeling my inner Forrest Whittaker.....I broke out the little known very rare ASLYS cue.....aka......Andy Scott Lumber Yard Special and made a 3D printed wrap for it......It has a rubber like feel....Not only does it protect the cue from bangs against that chair leg 5 inches away from the table.....rain....and STDs.......It still leaves a lasting impression on the biker that does not want to pay up from getting hustled by a guy with a bright red cue............:p

Believe it or not.....it actually feels pretty good.......who knew......I was shocked.
Omg that's ugly!!!

Dang, I installed simulated elephant ear leather wrap on a Pechauer I have, and have been wondering if I could shoot better if I actually had real elephant ear on the cue? I knew something was holding me back! 😉
Holy shit, I didn't mean for it to go off script this bad!!

Some of these responses are rather humorous but in all seriousness I personally love the Spanish Bull wrap. The look and especially the feel is what I like the most. I've had the Elephant Ear but prefer the Spanish Bull. Just my opinion and preference.
Giving me a cue like that would be like putting strawberries on a pig!!😉

You can still feel the elephants deep and profound death spams as as the villagers jammed the spears into its heart every time you grab my cue.

When you grab simulated EE you just feel the bolt gun being fired into the dulled brainpan of an overweight heifer.

My cue inspires you to play your best so you too can avoid that fate.

ONLY inspiration that comes from Simulated is an overwhelming desire to order a salad....
You from DC, by any chance??😂

I'm thinking of ordering a couple of wraps from Superior Cues and I can't make a decision on appearance; they all look good to me. Which is going to feel the best?

Thanks!

For pure feel, which wrap is best ?

Then you mentioned ''can't make a decision on appearance.

So you want a wrap that appears to feel the Best?

My concern would be getting this chemicals repeatedly loaded into the linen and how much is being absorbed into you.

I love Renaissance wax and use it and Kramer's Best religiously to both clean and preserve my antique cues.

But I don't think using it in the same way as a beeswax is the best route to go.
I got a stick of bow-string wax at Academy. Just a few light passes and the rub it in and it makes linen feel pretty good. In the last few yrs i've gone to wrapless/leather/cork. I just can't play linen wraps anymore. Just feel strange, i've got dry hands and it just feels funky.

Bow string wax is mostly a mix of beeswax and pine rosin, I would give that a try too.

One wrap material that has not come up in this thread is old school Martin style pig skin.

I have four Martin's all but one is that reddish colored pigskin wrap he did and is like a cross between Spanish Bull and Eel. I've not felt another wrap like them ever.

You can't go wrong with any of these but my personal favorite among those listed in shrunken grain goat. It has a suppleness that appeals. It's probably not as durable as the others, but it should last many years if not abused.

This sounds like some real Louisiana Voodoo shit!

So do you sacrifice a chicken before every league night to "wake" the cue up?
