Here is a very cool Randy Mobley cue made of solid Zircote with the the handle section featuring hand-filed grooves, which makes for a great grip. I recall seeing similar handles on antique French cues.
The Zircote wood used in this cue was aged for over 50 years. Randy has also built some like this as break cues (The Mules), but this one is meant to be a player coming with an ivory ferruled shaft.
Butt is engraved "RM" and "Mobley"
Cue is certainly novel (you will def be asked about it a lot) and it hits as good as his usual $2k and up cues.
Specs:
The pin is 3/8 10,
Ivory ferruled curly maple shaft with that old patinized wood look. It has a Kamui clear black soft tip.
All rolls straight together & apart.
Butt weighs 14.6 oz
Shaft weighs 4.25 oz @ 13.1 mm
This cue hits stiff and moves the balls with great ease. Obviously, this guy knows what he's doing.
Cue is in nearly-new test-hit-only condition.
