For sale? List the price!!!

this may sound crazy, but try to stay with me.......

did you ever consider that a seller may want to PM the asking price for an item for sale in this forum so that he only gets inquiries from serious buyers, not tire kickers?

hmmmmm..........

Just something to consider for those who actually buy and sell here and don't start useless threads.

Of course that's one of the reasons. But, I'm sure that there are plenty of tire kickers who will send a PM as well.. without ever having a desire or the funds to buy. I post all my prices, but that's my choice. If I chose to have them all requiring a PM, that would also be my choice. The OP (new to AZ, no iTrader) is just plain wrong.

Are you freakin kidding me??

What an incredible waste of time and space on a forum that was once a pretty neat place to buy and sell cues..Sad, Very sad......I actually remember a time when this forum was the optimum place to buy or sell a cue..I also suspect that there are a whloe bunch of guys, including myself, that have some very nice cues they would list for sale if this place was even remotely like it used to be..Oh..BTW...This is not an invitation to play "Dogpile"....

I love to buy stuff on A-Z, I try and avoid flea-bay, but if I don't see a price with a detailed description and pictures I move on to the next thread.

As is your right. just as it is the right of the seller to limit what he or she decides to place in his or her thread. If you don't like it, vote with your mouse and move on. It just NOT that big of a deal.

big difference imo

I don't see a difference between "pm for price" and "Price check" but if the moderators are fine with it so am I.

Price check = seller wants to sell his item but doesn't know how much it's worth or what to ask

PM for price = seller knows how much it's worth and knows what he'll sell it for but doesn't want that info on the street, for any of several reasons

This is true, tirekickers will kick the tires in private as well as here. On a big cue, I can understand the price being between the two parties. But on some cues, really?

"I have a Schon LTD 427 PM me for price?".. c'mon man...

JV (--- some sub categories are all that is needed here to clean this place up

Posting a price is advantageous to everyone. If it is out of the buyers means, no wasted time sending, receiving and reading PM's. Saves everyone time. Also, it allows people to learn what cues are being sold for. Educational I guess. I have bought cues that were sold this way. I have passed on others. But I usually just look then pass it by. The rules need to be revised and actually enforced on all of AZ. I like the site. Think there is a lot of good here. Just lately a lot more crap.
